My favorite part about the day? Lindsey and her bridesmaids NEVER stopped dancing… and I don’t mean just at the reception… they were dancing in the bridal suite, before the ceremony, outside while we were taking photos… and, of course at the reception. On that note… here’s a piece of wedding day advice…. BRING AN IPOD WITH SPEAKERS to have with you as you get ready. Music makes everything more fun DO IT! This was RIGHT before the walk down the aisle HA HA HA!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We love shooting at the Omni It’s great because you can have EVERYTHING in one place and they treat their brides SO well! I’m also partial because Carrie Sprague always takes SUCH good care of the people “working.”

HEY CAROLINE! (that’s her behind Lindsey on the left… we’re shooting her wedding in June 2008, YAY!) Oh, and… Jane, you’re SO cute here!

 

 

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. I always rave about the weddings we shoot… I know you guys think that I’m full of it after you’ve heard it a million times. HOWEVER… WE SHOOT THE BEST WEDDINGS with the BEST people! I’m biased… but seriously, we’re SO lucky! Lindsey and Brian’s wedding is CERTAINLY no exception.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Lindsey & Brian! Jane, Lindsey’s maid of honor said it best during her speech that Lindsey is wacky, not afraid to get dirty (she works at a barn) yet is incredibly classy. I wish I could be more like her. (I’ve got the first part down… ) ANYWAY… She and Brian are just so much fun to be around. Brian is charasmatic, genuine and VERY funny

Their wedding was nothing short of spectacular! (how’s THAT for a good adjective?!) Lindsey & Brian had a black and white formal affair. The flowers, the linens, the attire, the cake…. EVERYTHING was black and white. Brian took it up a notch with the groomsmen and wore black bow ties (which we LOVE), and pinstriped tuxedos. HOT!

PENDLETON, Ind. We knew from the moment we met these two that we would get along PERFECTLY! They’re just SO much fun to be around. Mike and Whitney are one in a million… and that’s no understatement. She’s a girl who would be okay with 30 guests and a sundress for her wedding while he’s the one who wants a big event! It’s such a fun role reversal

Mike (as in Whitney’s fiance Mike) had bronchitis on the day of our shoot. He was sick enough to have even called in to work! He did a FAB job of not looking ill for the pics. Dontchya think?

Having two Mikes around is SO confusing! You would think that because Mike isn’t exactly a rare name that they would be used to that… Whitney’s Mike is… but mine is not. I would be giving Whitney’s Mike directions while MY Mike thought I was talking to him… he’s such a dork.

When we’re shooting an engagement session… I almost always have a sweater tied around my waste… I put it in the grass for people to stand on if we suspect poison ivy/oak. It was used a lot during this session.

Her dress was amazing I like to play a silly guessing game with my brides… I try to guess what their dress looks like before I’ve seen it. I’m actually pretty good at it. (I just jinxed myself!) So… the morning at the salon… I took a guess and BAM.. I was EXACTLY right!

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. WHERE DO I BEGINNNNN?! Andrea and Andy…. I LOVE these two! They’re PHENOMENAL!!! (word of the day ) You know what else I love?! THEIR BRIDAL PARTAYYYYY!!!! And guess what… They’re PHENOMENAL!!!!! EVERYONE made us feel so incredibly welcome and comfortable. I cannot get over how much I loved everyone there. Because we had already gotten to know some of their family on other photo shoots…. most everyone there already knew who we were. It was SO MUCH fun.

When I got to the salon that morning, one of Andrea’s bridesmaids Kate comes running up and gives me this GREAT hug. I hadn’t met her until that moment. She’s so fun! She’s been watching the blog for so long that she felt like she already knew me. Here’s a HUUUUUUUGE shout out to my SCHMAVORITE (HA!) bridal party!!! Abby, Nico, Kate, Amy, Liz, Jason, Patrick, Abbie, Brian and Matt!

Andreas dress was PHENOMENALLLLL! That’s why I kept saying that word…. look at her… are you kidding me?! She’s GORGEOUS!

Andrea is Methodist and Andy is Macedonian (Eastern Orthodox). Their ceremony was Methodist while most of their reception was Macedonian! That was an AWESOME experience to say the least! Pig dances, bread dances, money being thrown everywhere, dancing in circles, a violinist and a clarinetist (who, by the way… had MAD clarinetting skills!). I’m ready for the next one. Andy and Andrea… I hope that everyone in your family who is planning a wedding calls us because 1) we love your family 2) we LOVED all of the traditions 3) the bread tasted so GOOOOOOOD!

We cannot wait to see ALLLLLL of you again! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE TO YOUUUUUU!!!!!!
