Hey, folks.
Bobbi is out of the country and has no access to email or web. In addition, there appears to be some problems with her hosting company and the site is up/down. Email seems like it’s a bit sketchy, too.
Rest assured, she’s happy and healthy! She’s shooting in beautiful St. Marten, and she’ll have some awesome photos to share when she gets back. She’ll sort out all the email nonsense and get in touch with you soon.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. Sometimes it’s so hard to put into words how amazing an event is. Luckily for us, we’re photographers… so we’re able to capture a scene/emotion/moment/detail on “film” and keep it forever. Jodi and Pat had such a magical day and we’re SO glad that they picked us to help them remember it.
Words that come to mind when I think of….
Jodi: cute, funny, sweet, thoughtful
Pat: quiet, loving, patient, easygoing
Their wedding: fun, emotional, sincere, elegant, perfect

Pat, on the other hand… played golf. According to Mikey, it was a little cooler than originally anticipated but they still had a blast. If only I could show you some of the photos that Mikey took out there… some are just not blog appropriate… but they’re HILARIOUS!!!HA HA HA!
My favorite part of their day? THE VOWS!!!!! duhThe way that they read them to each other was so incredibly sincere. I think they were both holding back tears… though Pat might deny it
A HUUUUUUUUGE thanks to the bridal party for rolling with the punches all day…. you guys did an AMAZING job of WORKING IT OUT for the photos. I LOVED how the bridal party shots turned out (as you can clearly tell by how many I posted above… I wanted to put more…. EEEEKS!) so thanks for being awesome!

tried getting a real blog entry done before I went to bed… but just woke up at my desk. Yeah… I actually fell asleep here while processing photos. As I sit here and write this I can hear Mikey quietly snoring at his desk behind me. We’re lame.

Doesn’t that look FUN?! When we first started the session, Cody (the one in front of the slide) was feeling SUPER shy and NOT wanting his photo taken. We had to resort to fun games… like, the “Bobbi chase Cody around the playground game.” He kept running from me. This happened to be one of the times that I won. He’s yelling “AHHHHHHH!!!!!” because he KNEW I caught him!

Cameron, the oldest, informed me that he NEVER smiles in pictures. AU CONTRAIRE! I’m afraid that you’ve now messed with the WRONG photographer… because that isn’t gonna fly with me.BY THE WAY, how cute are all the boys here?!
KANSAS CITY, Mo. When I put up the announcement that I was heading to KC and was scheduling sessions while I was there… April was the FIRST to emailI’ve known April since we were 12 and by the time we were 13, we had nearly every class together at Eastgate Middle School. Given my 8th grade persona… I can’t believe she trusted me to take her family photos. I was SO ornery!!!! She said I always made her laugh thoughBONUS!!!!
When she emailed, she said that it’d been over two years since their last family photo. SHE THEN went on to tell me about Kyle…
“My year has been kind of crazy, my husband Kyle was in a car accident last November and spent a few months in the hospital. He very nearly didn’t make it and was paralyzed for some time. He has what’s called an “incomplete” spinal cord injury so doctors are very optimistic as to his recovery, they think that he will prob get 90% back. He is now able to walk without a walker now for 20-30 minutes at a time, which is huge but he still has problems with fatigue and pain. The long and short of all of that was that we don’t have any pics of our family together and it would really mean a lot to have one.”
WOW to THAT story! I had fully prepared myself for someone who couldn’t walk when up walks Kyle, April and family. Though he struggled moving around a bit… he never ONCE complained and stayed strong for the entire session. We didn’t travel far… and the kids did enough running around for ALLLLL of us combined!
April and Kyle, I’m SO glad you asked me to come photo your family. April, you’re as incredibly sweet as I remember youIsn’t it funny how we never really change? Though… maybe I’m not as ornery as I once was… I HOPE NOT ANYWAY!!!!!
