nicole+brent

These two live in a small town in Indiana and wanted their photos to reflect that.  It was SO fun to explore the area and find some really amazing locations.

Nicole… your eyes are BEAUTIFUL!

They actually live on a lake… this is their dock. :)  Behind them you'll see some construction style barriers…. that's because the Indiana flood of 08 nearly destroyed that bridge.

Had a little fun with the processing of this one…

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

And ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS OLD BARN?!?!?!!!?!?!:)FAVORITE! :!:+:?:

Hey, it's Indiana… and what better to represent Indiana?! CORN!  I've been DYING to do a photo shoot amongst corn… yes yes yes, I would say that Indiana is really beginning to take me over.  (I'm from Kansas City, Mo)

Okay, yes… I have more than one favorite. Leave me alone:!:

 Back for more corn… I couldn't resist.:D

HOPE, Ind.  EVERY TIME we drive through a small town we feel so incredibly inspired by the surroundings… old fences, well used farm equipment, run down barns, lots and lots of corn, and plenty of rustic goodness.

I knew that THAT was exactly the kind of place that Nicole and Brent lived and we couldn't wait to head there and attack them with our 5Ds.  Okay… that's kind of extreme… but whatever…

These two have been married for a couple of years and had never had an engagement session… After Nicole's friend Jacquie and her husband Abe had photos done by us last year… the immediately signed up.:)I love that more and more couples are requesting photo sessions after they've been married… Sometimes I think that people only think that they can have family photos done if they have kids… no no no… not the case :)  So, JUST DO IT!

Nicole and Brent… thanks SO much for introducing us to Hope, Indiana :)

LOVE!

DANVILLE, Ind.  These two got married on a Monday… A MONDAY?!?!?!  When she inquired… I had to confirm that we had the dates right… and yes yes yes, a Monday it was :D  Why a Monday you ask… Jonathan, as I already mentioned, is United States Marine… his leave (AKA, vacation time) started that Sunday… and ended at the end of the week… so they could spend the maximum amount of time together before he had to head back to California… they did it as early in the week as possible.  Isn't that a cool wedding story?:D

Their ceremony was perfect in every way.  It was a small, intimate, personalized affair… and it was exactly what Amanda envisioned.  When she first contacted us about photographing their wedding… she began to explain that she wanted a wedding in the woods… AHHHH WE LOOOOOVED ITTTTT!!!!!!

Amanda is actually the wedding coordinator of Mavris Arts and Event Center in downtown Indianapolis… Mavris is one of our favorite places to work, so we were honored and OH SO excited when she called.  We've worked with Amanda on numerous occasions… and she always takes such good care of us.  This time… it was our turn to take care of HER! :D  OHHHH how we loved seeing her as a bride:)

Jonathan is such an awesome guy with a huge smile and an even bigger heart.  They both wrote their own vows and I remember specifically him saying that he had big plans for his future… and all of those big plans included Amanda and Layla.  I'm giving it NO justice… but I assure you, it was so incredibly sweet.  I believe he, along with his best man Jordan are Afghanistan right now… or heading over very shortly… so Mike told me to give a big "OORAH" to them!

Amanda and Jonathan… we cannot thank you guys enough for allowing us to share and capture such an awesome day.

MUCH LOVE!

And, as always… one of my favorite parts of the day. :D

Yes, I'm aware that my camera is on upside down…  I was in a hurry and just threw it on.

healthy train: week 1.

I DID IT… I LOST WEIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!! And I, yes this is cheesy, but it's honest…. but I feel SO GOOOOOD! I feel like I have complete control of myself.  It's SUCH a great feeling!

So, how much weight did I lose?!

THREE POINT SIX POUNDS!!!!!!!!    3.6!!!!!!!!  :D

YEAHYEAHYEAH!  GAHHHH I'M SOOOO PROUD OF MEEEEEE!!!!!!

So, here's how my last couple of weeks have gone down… I've decreased my daily caloric intake to 1200-1500 a day.  I joined a gym :)  For our Indianapolis friends… I joined the National Institute of Fitness downtown on IUPUI's campus.  They have a program there specifically designed for people who want to lose weight… so DUH TOWN… that's what I signed up for :D  The first month of that program consists of meeting with a nutritionist, an analysis of my body, getting a fitness assessment, and an hour of personal training once a week.  So, this week… it's been that fitness assessment, the analysis and one personal training… and so far, I'm in LOVE with the program! :D  I'll tell you more about my trainer soon… you guys will love her:)

So… enough about me… let's talk about YOU!  As of 8:30am, October 23rd… we've had 48 people weigh in :D  ANNNNND…. out of those 48 people…

we've lost a total of 79.3lbs. YAHOOOOOOOSKI!!!!!!

There are NINETY ONE people on this list… AKYM?!?!??!??! Quick update: there are TWENTY-EIGHT more people who've joined throughout the day who I'll add next week… pretty cool, huh?!

OOOOOOKAYYYYYYY!!!!!! So here's what's next…. let's make some short term goals :)  By short term I mean… how much do you want to lose by Christmas?  State your goals in the comment section down there… My goal? 16.5 lbs.  YAY!  I'm already 3.6 lbs there…:)

I encourage EVERY single one of you guys out there to take a "before" picture.  Yeah yeah yeah… I know… it sucks to see yourself not looking the way that you want to… but I ASSURE you… it will motivate you to know that that's the last time you'll see yourself looking like that… and it's only getting better from here.  I took one also because I always feel like as I lose weight… I never look any different.  So, I plan on taking a picture like this every five pounds that I lose.  I'm excited!  I would LOVE if all of you sent me your "before" photos for now… and we'll do a progress photo around Christmas… to show that we've met our short term goals.   I PROMISE not to post them on the blog unless I have your permission in December….  If you're interested… send them to healthytrain@bobbiandmike.com (SUCH a cheeseball address!)  Wear a black shirt and jeans… that way, as you lose weight… you can always be wearing the same thing so the photos are consistent.  Sending it… well… it will help hold you accountable to yourself… know what I mean?

So, I'm going to take a big ol' bite of humble pie and show you all MY before picture :)  How can I ask you guys to do it If I'm not willing to show you mine.  This wasn't taken from my usual most flattering angle… GAHHHHH!!!!!

We took it in front of this pillar in the middle of our space so that I can see my size relative to something else.  Someday I'll be smaller than that pillar!:DYAHOOOSKI!

Yes, my legs really are that short… :)  And no, the off centered belt isn't my fashion statement, it was an accident. :D

LET'S DO THIS THING!

Gosh, I love our blog readers… EVERY ONE OF YOU!!!!!

Love love LOOOOVE
