CHICAGO. I'm literally RUNNING out the door to meet with my trainer… but I wanted to get this published before I left.  I PROMISE to write more when I get back.  So, STAY TUNED!

OOOOOOOKAY… I'm back!:DSO… I often will say that my most loyal future clients are past bridesmaids/groomsmen… which for us, is the ULTIMATE compliment:DYou see, Megan was the maid of honor at this amazing wedding back in June, 2008. However, she took loyal to the next level:DI got an email from her in July and it read, "I just got engaged (tonight)!"…. AYKM?! TONIGHT??!????!!!! YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH!!!  

We all had so much fun exploring the busy-ness that is Chicago, you guys were SUCH good sports with all of the people around! Can't wait to see that hot little woman in a hot little wedding dress!

PS. Because I'm writing this little blurb after its' been published… I've gotten a few questions about how I took that last black and white. I don't like to over complicate sessions with lots of setup stuff… for us, it ruins the spontenaity of the shoot.  So nope, no flash and no tripod.  It was taken with the 35mm 1.4L at 2.0 and 1/10 of a second at ISO 100.  How did I keep myself steady? I propped my elbows on my (not small) chest (for support) and fired away.:DI'd be lying if I said I nailed it the first time.  We were out there for a few minutes before I was happy with the results.  Was that the answer you were expecting?

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. I've known Janine for a while now… you see, when I quit my job in graphic design four years ago, she's the one who filled the position.  BUT, we've only communicated by phone… UNTIL NOW!  It was so fun to jump out of my car and see her standing there… she was exactly as I had imagined! It was a crazy trip down memory lane reminiscing about all of our past design clients and coworkers. CRAZY! She has since quit that job (it was in Terre Haute) and moved to Indianapolis. 

She and Scott are such a great match:DJanine is full of personality and always says exactly what she's thinking (love it!) and Scott is a go-with-the-flow, laid back guy… and it works together perfectly!  AGAIN… personality traits that are quite like Mike and I's…:DSo for you singletons out there looking for your soulmate… this formula works!:D

Their wedding is in June… so, we'll see you then!

 Somehow throughout almost every shoot… my hair turns into a ducktail. NOT PRETTY!

 

 Anyone out there read thereifixedit.com? It's a site dedicated to these crazy/weird/hilarious fixes of everyday items that just aren't working anymore. You MUST check it out! ANYWAY, when we came upon this during the session… Mike and I looked at each other and almost in sync said, "THERE, I FIXED IT!" And of course, he snapped a picture:DYou see… that window in the drivers side has been busted open… so what a better way to fix it than with an umbrella!:D

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. Can't you just tell by looking at these images how much fun we had on this session!?

As I already said… Sarah and Sam were SO great to photograph… very natural and quite comfortable:DMade for, if I do say so myself… some FANTASTIC images!  

Their house was PERFECTO for shooting (and living too I'm sure!)… it's an older house in Broad Ripple with lots of custom woodwork, arched doorways, awesome floors… AND big windows (the key to amazingness). Mike left drooling. Okay… not really… but it really was awesome!

OHHHHHHH how we cannot WAIT to photograph their wedding… It's guaranteed to be full of laughs!

HEALTHY TRAIN IS BACK!!!!

Heya betties!

Healthy train is BACK ONNNN!!!!:DWho's in??!?!?!!

Now, I don't want to get too depressing in this first post… so I'll say nothing more than… I've put back on some of the weight that I've lost… the traveling, stress and wedding cake has taken it's toll… and I'm here to turn that poopy around! 

HEEEEEERE WE GO!  And this time… IT'S A FOR REAL CONTEST!

If you don't want to compete… but still want to be on the healthy train… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE JOIN US… The MORE THE MERRIER!!!!!!

If you DO want to compete… send in a "before" picture and you HAVE to send it in by Friday.  Your "before" picture has to be taken this week… it can't have been taken a month ago… as that's not really fair… you've had a jump start… get what I'm sayin' yo?! I PROMISE not to post it… as a matter of fact… at the end, only those who send in your "after" photos will be shown.:D(Send all photos to bobbi[at]bobbiandmike.com

A few tips on your "before" photo.

  • wear something that is easily comparable to another outfit for your "after" photo. For example… I wear a black shirt and blue jeans… that way, as I lost weight… I could just wear smaller jeans and a smaller black shirt so that it was easy to compare. 
  • stand somewhere that has a clean background… a white wall works perfectly.  Standing in front of clutter makes it difficult for you to see your outline.
  • be sure to take a side and back photo, too. 
  • this doesn't really have anything to do with the photo… but I canNOT stress this enough… MEASURE YOURSELF!!!!! When the pounds aren't coming off… sometimes seeing the inches fly away are FABULOUS for the motivation.  I measure my waist, arms, thighs, bust and hips. Mike measures his waist, chest, arms, thighs and neck.

When does this contest end? November 20th (9 weeks):D

What is the prize? A HOT HOT HOT "after" photo session taken by yours truly…. in Indianapolis:DDate to be determined based on the weather:)If you don't want a photo session… we'll come up with something else… but, whatever… JOIN JOIN JOIN!

We'll weigh in every other Friday (you just have to say how much you've lost… not how much you weigh). First weigh in is September 25th… then October 9, 23… November 6th and then the 20th!:D

I've showed you all my before photos, photos of me as a sweaty mess, hair lookin' all crazy, etc… so, please know that I will NOT judge you!:D
