Meet Jordan and TJ… they’re fun.:DTJ is the brother of a past bobbi+mike bride… one that married in 2007…. one whose family we absolutely adore!When I met TJ back then, he was single and charming… I knew it wasn’t going to be long before someone snatched him up!Enter Jordan from stage left. GORGEOUS Jordan… with a personality and smile that’s larger than life!
Love this one.:DOh, right after I took this, a young women who appeared to be with her mother and a friend came out from the door that’s right at the top of those steps (that you can’t see)… she said, “are you Bobbi and Mike? I’m engaged and needing a photographer and I’ve been following your blog for a long time!” Whomever you are… email us, we’d love to photograph you!It rained right after the above image was taken… and we waited for 30-ish minutes for it to stop. Once it did stop, the sun that came out was SO money!
Love!:DHelloooo hot tamale shoes!Which famous person does Jordan look like? I’m thinking Gina Gershon…

Here are a few images from our third and final bobbi+mike workshop for the season.  Meet Kimi and Nick… They have great smiles.:)They drove up from Alabama just to be a part of our workshop… and we couldn’t have been more excited!This was only the second workshop we’ve done where we shot an actual engagement session (ie. they’re engaged and needed engagement photos… most of the time our workshop couples have been either already married or dating).Then we switched things up a bit by heading to a big ol’ open field.:DKimi’s only request.:DShe was excited when she knew I was taking it! My view. …and Mike’sHere’s my creeper statement of the day… I love watching people snuggle. I mean, after all… it is my job! LOVE their smiles in these next two!See what I mean? Jody is just-a-smiiiiiilin’ in every image. I’m going to go ahead and say he was the easiest smiler in the history of bobbi+mike sessions.

Wedding  ::  August 10, 2012  ::  Indianapolis, Ind.

Together  ::  July 2, 2011

Engaged  ::  November 23, 2011

Ashleigh  ::  Certified Ophthalmic Assistant  •  Hometown  ::  Michawaka, Ind.

Ashleigh, described in five words (according to Jody) ::  Amazing, Kind, GREATEST. LAUGH. EVER.

Jody  ::  Senior Technical Account Lead  •  Hometown  ::  Frankfort Square, IL

Jody (according to Ashleigh) ::  ”Ashleigh is my one.”  (I only do things in fours)

How they met, as told by Jody ::  “Ashleigh and I met at a going-away party for a mutual friend who was moving from Chicago to Cincinnati.  Nervous, and not knowing anyone, Ashleigh loudly announced that she was going to be, “That Girl!”  I made fun of her for that, and because I had to been known to stick my hand in nacho cheese jars to scoop out the last of the cheese, she retorted with “Whatever, ‘Cheese Boy’.”  And that is how “That Girl” and “Cheese Boy” began!”

……………………………

Here’s what I was saying while this image was being snapped. “Ashleigh, if you don’t get this right… I’m going to smack you!”

Jody replied, “Nobody puts baby in the corner…” Then Mike went all crazy and started rolling around in the dirt. “She did it. Bobbi put baby in the corner!” He cried!Then I was all… “Mike, get up, you’re actin’ crazy. By the way, have you seen my pretty yellow camera bag?!” Then Jody said, “Bobbi, I don’t care about your yellow bag… what I do care about is if you know how to do the ‘Roger Rabbit’!”  And I complied.

I mean… that’s all from memory, I may not have the quotes exactly right.

Much love friends!

amy+jon

Amy started things off with her bridesmaids at the Clinique counter at Elder Beerman….Amy and Jon got married on the rainiest/gloomiest of days… and by that I mean, it poured almost the entire day.  While most brides would be freaking out, Amy was saying, “I love the rain, I’m excited!”Maybe they were looking at the radar???:)Love this image.:Dgood work team bridesmaids!I love me a bride who wears colorful shoes!
This little man was so cute! He just took a leisurely stroll down the aisle… stopped a few times to pick up the flowers… then about halfway down, he wasn’t moving, just takin’ in the scenery. Eventually the flower girl came and rescued him!:DAmy and her dad watching the ring bearer from the back.
My favorite.:!:After the ceremony, there was a Model-T there waiting for them. Though the rain was still coming down, so we adjusted fire and shot all of these images under the churches awning.Right as we arrived to the reception, the rain stopped and the sun had pretty much set, but I didn’t care… We took a quick 10 minute walk around the block and made it happen! Here’s another favorite:!:

Thanks for rolling with the punches team.:DLove this:D

bride+groom

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Amy: The most memorable moment for me was getting to ride off with Jon in the Model-T, It was just a nice quiet time for us to talk and appreciate each other after the ceremony had just ended.  I thought it was very romantic.:)

Jon: Seeing my wife come down the aisle in the church.  It was like all the guests disappeared and all I saw was the most beautiful women of my dreams!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Jon:  Seeing the ring bearer come down the aisle.  He was so cute just doing his own thing.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Amy: Never!  Everything turned out just as we hoped.  Simple and fun! The only slight downfall was the rain but a little bit of rain never hurt anybody!:)

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to St. Lucia.  We stayed at the Grande St. Lucian Sandals, Highly Recommended!!!  Great food and lots of activities if you aren’t the “beach all the time” type.

Her dress ripped in the front… and her bussle ripped in the back… so, I sewed it up.:)Though I didn’t have scissors… Jon’s dad to the rescue!

Much love friends!
