Meet Alli and Kyle… two OH SO sweet high school sweet hearts from a small town who are getting married next July.
According to them, they’re “really awkward” in pictures. Uhm… I beg to differ!
The first half of the session was at Alli’s families farm… and it was AWESOME! Oh, and they’re getting married here too!
Did I mention they’re cute?
…and absolutely SMITTEN with each other!

Then we drove into town for a few more images…

HA!
My favorite!
Good team work you two!

Alli | ELL (English Language Learners) Collaborator • hometown | Middlebury, Ind.
Kyle | Public Accountant • hometown | Goshen, Ind.
how they met, as told by Alli | “We met our freshmen year of high school, probably at an awkward “freshmen get-to-know-you party”. We were good friends all throughout high school. Never even thought of dating each other until our first year in college, when we started ‘Goshen dating’ (dating without really admitting it–small college thing), and now we’re getting married!”

My husband is SO handsome!
WHERRRRRRE’S WALDO?!
…notice the piece of straw in his mouth. Though you’re handsome Mike… you’re still very weird.
…a little motivational grunt…. or something… (I have NO idea what we were doing here!) It seems Mike’s not the only weird one
As we were leaving for our second location, Alli and Kyle drove to the end of their driveway while we were packing up our cameras. Meanwhile, their dog hopped into our car and wouldn’t get out. Mike chased him all over the car, yet he kept eluding capture! After about 5-ish minutes we were able to outsmart him.
I can’t say I blame him… our car is super comfy! (The main reason we picked it… we travel a LOT and I insisted on a comfy seat
).
Much love friends!

Baltimore has so much texture!
I love fall. I love the colors. I love the clothes. I love the light. I love it all.
Mike’s favorite

Mike… making friends with Wiggles.

Carrie and Mike’s only request is that they wanted their photos to look “Chicago.” We aim to please! My view…
Mike’s view. Also his favorite
As we were walking, we passed by this little chalk drawing… (clearly drawn by another couple during an engagement session), so we took full advantage.
Love her blond hair! Which, by the way, is 100% natural. WOW TO THAT!

See them down there? TEEEEEEENY tiny. My favorite

When they told us they were interested in getting their photos taken on a lake in her parents’ boat… I about flipped my poopie! Okay, that’s a lie, I didn’t. But you get the idea about my excitement level!
BTW, what does that even mean? “Flipped my poopie” ?! That’s stupid. I’m not saying it again. Okay… moving on…
Lori and Eugene are such a fantastic match. They make each other laugh… easily.
WACKY BOBBI STRIKES AGAIN!
Then we left the dock, they changed clothes, and here we were
My mom used to french braid my hair just like this. (I think I even had one of my school pictures taken with this hairdo. If I can find it, I’ll share it here) I felt like the prettiest girl in the class. I wish I could do this to my own hair. Lori, teach me… please?
THEN… as we were driving, we saw this incredible farm at the top of a hill. We drive the windy driveway towards it and knock on the door. Out comes Delmer, a very old man wearing very dirty overhauls. He was the definition of southern Indiana charm. Delmer could barely see us and thought we were all there to simply chat. He, along with his wife (who sadly passed in April) have lived in that farm house (with 119 acres!) for fifty five years. ”Me and my daddy built this old house.” -Delmer
We found Delmer’s farm right as the sun was getting really warm… so we didn’t shoot there for long. Let me tell you though, this was a photographer’s heaven! I love this image
Lori, you have an incredible smile. Truly incredible!
