Oh, and they’re getting married here too!Did I mention they’re cute?…and absolutely SMITTEN with each other! Then we drove into town for a few more images…:)HA!:DMy favorite!:!:Good team work you two!:D

Alli | ELL (English Language Learners) Collaboratorhometown | Middlebury, Ind.

Kyle | Public Accountant • hometown | Goshen, Ind.

how they met, as told by Alli | “We met our freshmen year of high school, probably at an awkward “freshmen get-to-know-you party”. We were good friends all throughout high school. Never even thought of dating each other until our first year in college, when we started ‘Goshen dating’ (dating without really admitting it–small college thing), and now we’re getting married!”

My husband is SO handsome!WHERRRRRRE’S WALDO?!…notice the piece of straw in his mouth. Though you’re handsome Mike… you’re still very weird.;)…a little motivational grunt…. or something… (I have NO idea what we were doing here!) It seems Mike’s not the only weird one;)As we were leaving for our second location, Alli and Kyle drove to the end of their driveway while we were packing up our cameras. Meanwhile, their dog hopped into our car and wouldn’t get out. Mike chased him all over the car, yet he kept eluding capture! After about 5-ish minutes we were able to outsmart him.:)I can’t say I blame him… our car is super comfy! (The main reason we picked it… we travel a LOT and I insisted on a comfy seat;)).

Much love friends!

…taken at sunrise; the sky was SO blue this morning!Carrie and Mike’s only request is that they wanted their photos to look “Chicago.” We aim to please! My view…Mike’s view. Also his favorite:?:As we were walking, we passed by this little chalk drawing… (clearly drawn by another couple during an engagement session), so we took full advantage.:DNO SHAME! Does anyone else find this funny? It’s hilarious to me. Wonder if the photographer who originally took this follows our little blog. If so. POST YOURS! Love her blond hair! Which, by the way, is 100% natural. WOW TO THAT!See them down there? TEEEEEEENY tiny.  My favorite:!:It doesn’t get any more “Chicago” than this!

I usually go in order with my blog entries… but this time, a special circumstance:DLori and Eugene weren’t able to do their engagement photos until this week… BUT, they’re getting married TOMORROW! I wanted to make sure they saw their amazingness before the big day.:)So, I popped this session in the front of my queue and badaboom badabing, here they are!

For those who live in the midwest… you know about the RIDICULOUS heat we’ve had here this week.  By evening on this day the temperature had reached about 98° with a 113° heat index. NOOOOO THANK YOUUUU!!!! So, we check marked this session at dawn when it was 77°. BOOOOOOM! The benefits of a dawn session are major… the light is innnnncredible, it’s 10-20° cooler, annnnnd…. no one has time to get nervous before the session. I’m not gonna lie… I know it kinda sucks getting up that early, but it’s only once. And when it’s over, it’s beyonnnnnd worth it! Previous clients who’ve done this with us… Can you please back me up?:D

Our favorite:!:+:?:When they told us they were interested in getting their photos taken on a lake in her parents’ boat… I about flipped my poopie! Okay, that’s a lie, I didn’t. But you get the idea about my excitement level!BTW, what does that even mean? “Flipped my poopie” ?! That’s stupid. I’m not saying it again. Okay… moving on…

HELLOOOOOO AMAZING LIGHT!Lori and Eugene are such a fantastic match. They make each other laugh… easily.:)You guys know me… I LOVE me a good laugher:DWACKY BOBBI STRIKES AGAIN!
Then we left the dock, they changed clothes, and here we were:)My mom used to french braid my hair just like this. (I think I even had one of my school pictures taken with this hairdo. If I can find it, I’ll share it here) I felt like the prettiest girl in the class. I wish I could do this to my own hair. Lori, teach me… please?:DTHEN… as we were driving, we saw this incredible farm at the top of a hill. We drive the windy driveway towards it and knock on the door. Out comes Delmer, a very old man wearing very dirty overhauls. He was the definition of southern Indiana charm.  Delmer could barely see us and thought we were all there to simply chat. He, along with his wife (who sadly passed in April) have lived in that farm house (with 119 acres!) for fifty five years.  ”Me and my daddy built this old house.” -Delmer

After about 15-20 minutes of talking with him he said, “So, what is it that you need anyway.” We asked if we could take a few photos on his property; he kindly obliged. We found Delmer’s farm right as the sun was getting really warm… so we didn’t shoot there for long. Let me tell you though, this was a photographer’s heaven! I love this image:)Lori, you have an incredible smile. Truly incredible!:D
