Kortnee and Ted are a SUPER fun husband and wife photo team based in Cincinnati.  

OHHH OHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t TELL you how much I love this photo. Oh wait, I think I just did.  If this photo doesn’t represent 10 years of marriage… then I don’t know what could?!

Meanwhile… Mike was taking photos of this. Micah walked the entire perimeter of this fence. He’s quite the adventurer…

Micah doesn’t deal too well in the heat (Kortnee told me about this when she  first inquired…) and wouldn’t it be our luck that it just HAPPENED to be a serious heat wave going through Cincinnati that week…. by that I mean it was hot. Well, not just hot… it was HOT HOT HOTTTTTT!!!!!!!! We had to shoot a bit later and a bit shorter to avoid the heat… but, I tell you… this family didn’t NEED much time to turn on the amazingness

OHHHH to be six again! I had to shoot this with manual focus because he was moving so fast that the auto focus couldn’t keep up. Though not 100% sharp… still pretty cool, eh?

I was shooting so wide that I had to spread my little footsies to keep them out of the shot.

Mike was on mosquito patrol!   Never in my life have I seen so many in one place. He probably wacked me 50 times during this session! Though, I do have to say… I only came home with two bites (I’m pretty allergic to them… we’re talking welts the size of silver dollars, it’s not cute)

WACKY MIKEY!

The second we started photographing these two, I knew it was going to be an amazing shoot.  What made me draw that conclusion so early? They’re good snugglers

You see, Lindsey and Beto live in Dallas, Texas. Lindsey is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan (which is about 5 hours from us). When she started planning her trip home… she got in contact with us to see if they could roadtrip to Indiana and we could photo their hotness. Uhm, yes please. CHECK AND MARK!

This is, in my OH SO humble opinion, the BEST time of year for sessions in the Midwest. The sun is amazing, the flowers are in full bloom and the temp isn’t ridiculously hot (though, don’t factor this week into that equation please… HOT HOT HOT!)

Ohhhh yellow flowers please stay around all year…. pleeeeease???

I posted about Lindsey’s eyes last week on my Twitter/Facebook accounts. I’ve NEVER in my life seen eyes so bright. EVER! I was creeper staring. I kept saying, “I can’t get over how blue yours eyes are!” Now, unless you KNOW Lindsey and have SEEN her… i know that you probably won’t believe that I didn’t brighten these eyes in Photoshop. As a matter of fact… I toned them DOWN!  I’m STILL shocked by them. Lindsey, you’re gorgeous. GORGEOUS!!!!

1. Baby King 2.0 will be here in July. Yep, you heard that right… baby in belly!
2. John still has a huge smile …which is THE most contagious smile in the history of the universe.

4. Miles is incredibly smart, a bit shy, very curious & has the most vivid imagination ever.

I asked Miles to listen to what the baby had to say. He listened closely and responded, “I’m ready to come out now.”

He told me I had orange hair. I asked what color mom’s was… “black.” Dad’s? “clear.” Miles’? “Purple.”

I told them to walk Peter Pan style… they did it perfectly

Two things he wanted to know before the session started.

“Do you drive a bulldozer?” Afraid not… (I assume he wanted to know if I was Bob the Builder)

“Where’s Mike?” He’s spending time with his mommy and daddy. (I’m BLOWN away that he remembered us from 1.5 years ago. SERIOUSLY?!). He was not happy that Mike wasn’t part of the equation that morning. I can’t say I blame him

Miss Amelia was intimidated by my camera so I had to keep coming out from behind it and shoot with the camera on my shoulder…. hence why in most photos she’s looking to the left of the camera. It worked!  Amelia thought I was the funniest of the funny! It was SO easy to get her to smile (easy is relative, just you wait until you see the crazy action shots at the end…) I told my Twitter friends that if this photography thing doesn’t work out… I’ll always have a future in being a baby comedienne

Tracie and Token live in Italy… yes, you heard me right… in the REAL Italy… the spaghetti and ooh la la wine ITALY!!!! They came back to Indiana for two weeks so that their families could meet this perfect baby. Oh and… DUH… to have AMAZING family photos taken! (Did I REALLY just say “DUH” on my blog?! I should really get more sleep… I’m going out of my dang mind!

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.  Since I've known Tasha, she's been so excited to be a mom… and let me tell you, she's a natural, and of course… perfect   Seeing these two with their son was just so surreal to me. It's SO great seeing these families grow from engagement session/wedding/maternity and now a newborn session… there's nothing more fulfilling than this. Just sayin'.  

Tasha and Mark… those two will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. Just will. For those who've been following this blog for the past 3 years, then I'm sure you understand… I can't really explain it Tasha said it best in the comment section of the blog after her maternity session:

"…….the truth is it wouldn't be a monumental occasion in Mark and I's life unless you and Mike were there to capture it…and not in a conspicuous kind of way, but in true Bobbi and Mike style where you are actually a part of our special occasion. Love to you guys and thanks again.  Can't wait for Elijah's session!!!!!"

BTW yes yes yes, if some of the paint colors look familiar… that's because it is… we took these in our studio. Now USUALLY, our studio is for meetings only as it's not really set up to shoot in… but then Tasha said her house had no windows. So, we made it happen… and for Tasha+Mark… we'd do anything It took a little bit of rearranging, but the light in here is the BEST available light EVER

:::::UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE:::::

Elijah was born yesterday morning, December 3rd at 2:33am.  

According to Mark, they have a "healthy, incredible mom and a healthy baby boy"

7.4 lbs and 21 inches long. 

From what I gather, she was IN the hospital for 37 hours… 26 of which were labor. ARE YOU KIDDDDDING ME?!

So, there you have it… photos of Elijah are soon to be scheduled, guaranteed!

 My processing style has changed a bunch since these were taken… but, here's a reminder There are those boooooots! These were taken 3 years ago… WOWWWW to that!

 The amazingness of their ceremony is something I will never ever ever in my life forget.

BUFFALO, NY. For those of who follow me on Twitter you may remember an update a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNG time ago about a husband and wife who each emailed me separately (within 12 hours of each other) about surprising the other with a session… Well… that couple is Alyssa and Rich.  I don't remember how the surprise was figured out… but, in the end… it wasn't a surprise at all… and regardless of the lack of surprise… it was perfecto!  I asked if they had talked about it the night before they both had emailed me… the answer… no… they had discussed it a year prior.  Isn't it neat (yet crazy) how in a marriage we become so incredibly connected?

Enough about them… let's talk about the perfection that is Murphy! ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH ALL OF THAT CUTENESS?! He was one of the most well behaved, full-of-personality, hilarious kids we've ever photographed
