FAVORITE!

The dress got too heavy for her to wear through the ocean… so… she took it off!

NEGRIL, JAMAICA, We started this session just walking on the beach getting some fun portaits. By the time stepping into the ocean rolled around we had a CROWD of people watching. It was so funny! People were yelling, laughing, gawking, in shocking , and congratulating. That didn't deter them… THEY WORKED IT OUT!!!!! There were staff members from the resort with their point and shoot cameras taking photos. It was all so cute! Thanks you two… for EVERYTHING!!!!! You guys ROCK! ~ +

GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND, BAHAMAS. Danialle and Joe did… they decided to trash it! WHEW! I think I get more nervous about the whole process than my brides do. I guess I’m just SO in “protect the dress” mode that it’s hard to turn that off… know what I mean? Well… I quickly got over that!

We headed over to a private beach (Hey… Danialle has connections) for the last 40 minutes of sundown and well… we trashed her dress! They had a blast with this… and so did we YAHOOOOOOOOOOSKI!

WE LOVE OUR BLOG READERS!

Logan is a volunteer fireman at his local fire station. They thought this would be a fun place to do the session. Well… we did the firehose stuff last for obvious reasons (she was going to get wet )… so that forced us to find some other locations around the fire house. To be honest… we were a bit limited, so we got creative! We started out behind the fire station in some woods that had lots of cool junk, I was SO excited about that.. BUT… come to find out… that was someones property and they kicked us out. OOPS!

After that, we found some tall weeds…

…and a chain link fence… and…. that was about it

Melanie and Logan got married over a year ago… The dress originally didn’t have this turqouise sash with it. She added it because, she “loves our colors!” I thought it looked great!

…Melanie being sprayed down with a fire hose! For the record… that was NOT my suggestion… it was ALLLL Melanie and Logan, and they were all about it! I think I was more nervous than they were! It turned out to be a lot of fun

One of Logan’s groomsmen is also a volunteer fireman and he was there… SOOOO… we asked him if HE could spray BOTH of them. It was AWESOME!!!! Definitely the highlight of the evening FAVORITE!!

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. HEY MELANIE AND LOGANNNN!!! Melanie has been watching our site for, according to her, a LONG LONG time. She knew all of the “gimme” bobbi+mike poses. She’s so cute! They didn’t have many portraits from their wedding so they saw a Trash the Dress session as a great opportunity to make that happen.

Have you guys ever heard of “trashing the dress” ? This session was the kind of shoot that every wedding photographer DREAMS of! In a trash the dress session we do well… exactly that The dress is (most likely) never going to be worn again and… because she’s not concerned about how she looks for the big big big wedding day… there are no worries about ANYTHING! We’re able to just be CRAAAAZY!

The session started out like a normal bride and groom portrait session. I LOVE how mysterious this photo is!

We did the session on IU’s campus… as they were both alumni. Here we are in the creek. WOW! I can’t really pick out a FAVORITE image.. but this one is DEFINITELY on the list. Because I’m always in “OH NO the dress” mode on wedding days it was SO strange for me to just say… let’s get in the water!

And the absoulte BEST part of the day… splashing around in the water! It was AWESOME!!! They LOVED this part! Can’t you tell?!

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! I’m just THRILLLLLLED that Jessica thought of us to photo such a COOOOOOL session! Their one year wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks so they thought this would be a neat way to celebrate! She emailed me about a week ago requesting the shoot… and I JUMPED at the idea!

Jessica recently lost about 20 lbs… so, the dress was a bit too big (how many brides have you met that LOST weight in their first year of marriage?!.. I WISH!).

The two were REALLY up for ANYTHING! As I mentioned before… I’ve been brainwashed to be SO careful around the dress… I think in the beginning I was more paranoid about her dress than she was!

For anyone interested in doing it… here’s what I have to say… DO IT! I would LOVE to have photos like this of Mike and me (however, unlike Jessica… my dress DEFINITELY no longer fits me!) I look at these and picture myself in their shoes…. I’m so jealous!

I can’t WAIT to hear what you guys (my faithful blog readers/commenters) have to say about this…
