I adore Erin's smile.

Jamie, making everything perfect.

WOWZERS TO THAT HOTNESS!!!!!!!!

Erin told me there weren't any spots around the church for fun photos.  I hopped out of my car and IMMEDIATELY spotted this in the back yard.  DONE AND DONE!  My view.

Mikey's view :D

 :D

HOW CUTE IS THIS?!

Seconds before walking down the aisle.  This is my favorite :!:

She's glowing.

This is almost always my favorite part of a wedding day.

So sweet:)

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

 wow.

Yes… after all of the wedding reception traditions… Eric and his groomsmen thought it would be a good idea to jump in the lake in their tuxes.  Their rationalization, "we paid an extra $30 for tux insurance… we're usin' it!" HAHAHA!  Can you spot me in this photo?

HEATH, OHIO Maybe you remember from their engagement session blog entry that Mikey and I were there the night Erin & Eric got engaged (and if you didn't remember… there was your reminder;)).  That was a first for us so OBVIOUSLY… were were SO excited to come witness and photograph their day.

Eric is such a sweet and genuine guy. He cares so deeply for everyone in his life.  He's also quite ornery. too…. ESPECIALLY around his groomsmen (LOVE IT!). With those guys around, there's NEVER a dull moment! HA!

Erin… AYKM?!  (are you kidding me?!) HOW GORGEOUS ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!  When she walked out of the bathroom with her veil on… I started to get a little teary eyed myself!  She just looked so stunning!  I can tell you from personal experience… when you put that veil on, you REALLY do feel like a bride.  It's that first moment in your day where you realize that YES I'm getting married!  I know for me personally… putting my veil in was the first time I cried on my day.  Now… of course… I'm not hating on the veilless:)(I know that's not a word… leave me alone) we all know that I love a simple gardenia in the hair, too.  Just my 2¢:D

Erin & Eric are SO IN LOVE!!!! The way the look at each other just brings chills up and down your back!  :D  I love a crying groom!  (Mine was!)  They're surprisingly rare. :D  As soon as Erin walked into the sanctuary… Eric was welling up with tears.:DLOVE IT!!!!

Their church was SO cute. It had such a small town charm about it.  There was yellow and orange stained glass everywhere… so the light was so golden pouring in from the outside.  When you first walk into the sanctuary, you immediately feel at home and welcome. :DDoes anyone else think of Zelda when you hear the word sanctuary?:)

Erin and Eric's reception was a lot of fun!  They held it in Erin's parents back yard under a tent.  The father of the bride, Don, said during his introduction speech that he and Erin wanted to plan a reception that "wasn't boring."  So he along with Erin's mom, Pam set up all kinds of fun things for people to do like swimming, fishing and corn hole.  The guests loved it. :D

Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!!!

Love you guys:)

~bobbi+mike:!:+:?:

OK!  We've got a slide show HERE, and the full gallery HERE.  The user name for the slide show is Erin's last name, and the password is Eric's last name, in all lower case.  Depending on browser settings, it may ask for a name and password twice.

Enjoy!

It was SO incredibly warm outside and their reception was outdoors under a tent.  Most people changed clothes in between the ceremony and reception.  My black suit and the 100° heat index did not go together well.  So, yes… I was a hot mess.  I really need a summer suit.   How can my husband always look so dang handsome?!  Even when he's talking he's cute! :D  I LOVEEEEEE how happy we all are here!!!!!!!!

This photo makes me smile BIG smiles.  :D  Me with TWO of my brides :D  That's the famous JAMEEEEEEEEEEE on the right :)  We photographed her wedding in February 2007 where Erin was in HER wedding (which is how we all met).  Jamie was Erin's maid of honor.  Pretty neat, huh?!

WORKING IT OUT!:D

The morning they were getting ready Erin was finishing up their "place rocks"  I noticed Erin had written "Bobbie" on one of the rocks.  I thought… hmm… I wonder if that's me.  Then right after that she wrote "Mike"  I knew that was for us.   My grandma buys me Christmas ornaments with my name… but they ALWAYS spell it wrong… so she always turns the "e" into a heart.  I suggested that idea to Erin :)  And because of my grandma's genius… I was the only rock with a heart :D  PS. aren't "place rocks" a fun idea?!

Just beautiful as always! And that shot of the preacher holding up the ring…..wow! I’m loving every one of these photos!!!

DonJune 30, 2008 - 11:18 pm

Well, now I know first hand how you guys get those amazing shots…you work your collective butts off! As the father of the bride and numero uno bill payer I was delighted to write that check for capturing forever the beauty, the happiness, the tears, the joy, the sadness, and the craziness that was a part of Erin & Eric’s wedding. No video could ever say more than the frozen moments of your images. The continuous stream of video doesn’t let the viewer fully explore the moment. There are noises, voices, movement, and constant distractions in video. While you shoot still images, there is nothing “still” about your images. They capture the living that is happening not just the events. We will long be thankful for your work and hope you know the impact your images have.

I would say you guys “kick ass,” but that’s not me. No, I’d say you’re swell folks that love your work…love your clients…and share both loves in your images. Keep it comming!

ToddJune 29, 2008 - 9:42 pm

You guys kick so much ass, it’s scary!

Just so you know, I have a bookmark folder in my web browser for wedding photographers with a long list of them, then there is another bookmark folder called “Kick ass Wedding Photographers” with only a handful of them, guess which one you’re in?! :)

These photos are great!! I always think backyard receptions are so sweet and intimate … and I love that the groomsmen took advantage of the lake! Fabulous job you two.

So well done.

I’m a wedding photographer from Johannesburg, South Africa. I found your website while surfing the internet looking for inspiration. I love surfing wedding photography websites and blogs, and yours in no different. I love the images you produce, it is very inspiring.

Best regards from SA.

Great series, as usual. I can’t wait until this type of photography becomes more popular in T.H.

I love every one of them.

Lucky Red HenJune 25, 2008 - 12:03 pm

WOW that formal grooms shot in the backyard… they’re perfectly symetrical! You ROCK with a [heart]!

CarlyJune 25, 2008 - 10:41 am

I came across your website by accident last week and within a few minutes you were added onto my favorites list! The two of you are absolutely fantastic photographers and completely inspiring!! Plus, you probably talk about this when you shoot weddings that you can see it when a couple obviously adore each other, and you can see this in all of your photos! It’s plainly clear (and I include the pictures that you take of each other too!) Magic!

From a rather sunny Northern Ireland ;)

All the best!

w.o.w. I love how all your weddings tie together. You two have a very special relationship with all your clients and it shows. I Love It!

Love the work, and especially love the fact that you always feature shots of you with the couple – such a great idea.

I loved the one of the groom getting ready. Very creative.

Heather/OneShotBeyondJune 25, 2008 - 2:07 am

Like the rocks…love the photographs…fab & fun couple!

MombaJune 25, 2008 - 12:14 am

Hello, Hello,

I love Erin & Eric’s wedding. The photos you captured show the love. My favorite photos: the impromptu shot of Erin looking down while the bridesmaids are chitchatting (you made it happen with the moment)
also the B&W of we now pronounce Man an Wife while leaving the church. The expression of love on Erin’s face and the happiness that beams on Erin’s face.

Excellent……

Love you both,

Momba

JameeeeeeeJune 24, 2008 - 6:49 pm

That baby bump was 9 months of baby… talk about a bridesmaid with dedication! Bethany had a healthy baby boy less than 4 days later :) I love that I’ll forever have a photo of my last conversation with baby Jude before he came into the world.

I will never be able to convey how thankful I am that you and MPE came into our lives. I’m so happy that you were there to help keep me sane – I never had to doubt for a second that every moment was locked in for history in style. Erin is always gorgeous and I had seen the dress already, but I never imagined how striking it would be to see her as a bride. I’m still pretty thrown by it.

I’ll forever remember my 29th birthday, the matron of honor speech that I nailed, falling in love with my husband for the billionth time and the kick ass friends that I have… life really is good.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos – I’m pretty impressed at how well we held up in the heat!

Love to you, Bobs + Mikey!

Jess (studio3z)June 24, 2008 - 4:02 pm

Steph HJune 24, 2008 - 12:45 pm

That is a serious baby bump! I love it!!!
Also loving on the green bm dresses. Totally my favorite color!
The place rocks…well, rock!

And I have to say I am a little relieved to hear you call yourself a hot mess after the end of the day! I nearly passed out from heat exhaustion this weekend. Thankfully Karl kept pumping me with water :)

So glad you’re back to blogging. Four days is too long!

zach bolingerJune 24, 2008 - 12:23 pm

Wow, now that is getting your money’s worth on a tux. I would love to see the other angle Bobbi got. The photo of the groomsmen with the grass in his mouth is awesome.

Pregnant bridesmaids are so cute! I never did understand why some brides exclude their pregnant friends from the bridal party because it will “ruin the look” – so silly!

Adorable pics. :)

blairJune 24, 2008 - 11:08 am

that heart rock is so cute!
what a fun way to cover up :)

ChrissieJune 24, 2008 - 10:53 am

LOVE the place-rocks – I’ll have to suggest it to my brother and his fiance. Love the pics, as always!

The one w/ you pointing makes me crack up, b/c as a parent my first thought was that it looks like the groom got in trouble and you’re telling him to go sit over there and think about what he did.

That gal has one heck of a smile. :) You’re totally right. I wish we’d jumped in a lake at our wedding. :) (You’re across the field btw!) Can’t wait to see the other photos on your to do list.
