 This photo is SO funny to me! As I was processing through these and run across it, I laughed WAY out loud and immediately asked Mike for an explanation.  I guess this kid was just roaming around, unsupervised, looking up towards all of these men to be picked up.  Luckily, the lifeguard (blue shorts) saw this and saved the day.  Still… the guys had NO idea what was going on.  Soon after, the boys father (flowery shorts)… joined them.

Maybe the little boy was just looking for a dad with a hairy chest!  

And uhm… I don't know about you… but there's something COMPLETELY distracting about something in this photo and it's RIGHT where my eyes go. I can't stop. It's an uncontrollable eye movement. AHHHHH!

 Meet the bridesmaids Jacinda on the left and Lacey on the right. I'm telling you, every woman in attendance at this wedding was ridiculously good looking. I mean… some of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.  Someone who's not originally from their hometown told me, "ALL of the women in Pubnico are beautiful… I've never seen anything like it!!" I gotta tell you… I never have either! I think we're moving there… Mike could be a fisherman and I could just be hot.  Good plan, eh?

From the hairy chests (that I was a weeee bit obsessed with, HA!), to Jean-Guy's dancing dad, to the videographer who had the best view in the house , to my French going WAY down hill by the end of the night (JEEEN GIE!), to the waiter who thought this fair maiden didn't need water, to the bouquet that looked like a J , to me being a FLAMENCO DANCERRRR, to Suzanne and Jacinda battling it out with the most incredible limbo I've ever seen… ending in Suzanne falling flat on her butt… … and that's just a FRACTION that comes to mind when I think of the hilarious and awesome moments that were your wedding day.

Oh, and wow to your friends and family… I'm a HUGE fan!!! We'd love to come visit Nova Scotia someday! Luckily for us, you're all bilingual Before I come though, I'm going to learn some French… and more than all of those words that your bridesmaids were teaching me!

I handed the camera to Suzanne, and she took a picture of our mad skills   Oh, and btw, that's not my official funny face.

It takes a WHOLE lot to make me speechless (duh)… but these photos have BLOWN me away!  I told my Twitter friends last week, "The 4th 'after photo' just came in.  You guys are going to poop your pants when you see them.  So, just a warning… wear a diaper on Friday, K?"  I hope that you guys took my advice seriously because these photos, along with their stories, are well… effing awesome.

Your announcement about restarting the healthy train happened the same week I joined weight watchers because I have hit rock bottom as far as my self-esteem.  I have two kids that need me to be healthy and strong for them. I need to be that for myself.  Now is the time.  My father had his first heart attack at 36.  I am now 34.  That is pretty scary!!   

after:

I weigh less than I weighed after my daughter was born just shy of 11 years ago!  As of today, I have lost 15.82 percent!

My hubby has been right by my side and he has lost 40 pounds himself, combined we have lost the weight of our 5 year old.  Our next goal is to pass the weight of our 11 year old!

AMBER –7.1%

Ackkk!!!  I honestly can't believe I'm actually sending these horrible pics!!!  I took my pics in a bikini for 2 reasons.  #1 – I hide my weight REALLY well in clothes.  People are always telling me "You don't need to loose weight!"  I felt like this was the only way to really get the point across that YES I DO!!!  LOL!  And #2 I wore this bikini 3.5 years ago on my honeymoon.  And it looked damn good.  There's no excuse for THIS much added weight in that small amount of time.  I am a very emotional eater – I eat way too much when happy and tend not to eat when I'm sad.  Needless to say these have been a very happy 3.5 years, LOL!  

after:

I managed to lose a total  of 7.06%.  Not as many as most, but I am damn proud of it. My scale  also tells me that I've 11.5% body fat.  I totally get what you were saying on your blog about just feeling better on the whole when you are at a more healthy weight – I can SEE it in the way I am standing in each photo.  And did you look at my back??!!??  The back fat is gone, DING DONG the BACK FAT IS GONE!!! You have inspired  me to get my body back, rekindle my love for running, and really do  something for myself for a change.  I just cannot thank you enough.

You KNOW the newest after photos were taken in FEBRUARY in Kentucky… in the midst of our ridiculous winter!  THAT is some SERIOUS dedication to step outside in the snow in a BIKINI!  You SO SO SO rock!  And wow to your hot ass!

I am getting on the healthy train with full force. I lost 5.3 pounds this week, which was super exciting. I have been at this weight loss with my mom for 4 weeks now and have lost 17 pounds but cannot tell yet.  I have battled this silly weight for as long as I can remember and am finally going to get fit and win the session!!

after:

I started my journey 4 months after my second baby was born, I had lost all the baby weight within 6 weeks of having her (so that was not an excuse) but after that, started putting it all back on. In September I got on the scale and tipped the scale at my heaviest, I had never been that weight not even when I was pregnant! REALLY, I was sick! I told my husband I was going to work my ass off, and when I got to my goal weight I was calling Bobbi & Mike and we were having family pictures taken, something we have never done because I hate photos of myself! Two weeks later you posted up the healthy train info, and I was ecstatic to win a session, it was meant to be! I kicked it in full gear! Conveniently my mom was in a poll at work where she was trying to lose weight, so I had a teammate perfecto! We walked every night. The weight fell off for me, I was on cloud nine, and then the holidays hit! I became busy with work, and family and when you quit blogging I was happy because the weight was not coming off and I did not have to type it down to tell anyone. I am so glad you got back into it, because I started to loose again as soon as you started posting again! I was absolutely floored when you posted 9.8% btw! I was like crap I need to catch up. That I did, and I am so stinking excited that I have lost 14%!  I am not my ideal still, but am happy! 

Result of losing 40 pounds:

• Just had my wedding ring resized from a 10.5 to a 9 (crazy how much weight you loose in your fingers) 
• Down 4 sizes, and have pitched every pair of pants that I owned in September
• Yesterday, I purchased a pair of jeans for my after picture. I bought destructed jeans, I don't know if they are age appropriate but damnit I’ve wanted a pair in high school and they did not make them in my size so I am going to wear them with pride! -I’m a better wife and mom

Angela, SERIOUSLY… ROCK those jeans! age appropriate schmamopiate! You look GREAT!  What do I see as the BIGGEST difference? Your confidence.  There are two completely different people in those photos.  Oh, and a bonus: your mid section is NIGHT and day WORK IT OUT!!!

I wasn’t going to join…just continue to do it on my own…but with that prize as my motivation??? I am so in and it is on!

after:

So, I may have not won the contest in terms of percentage – lost 13.5%! but I did win in terms of regaining confidence in myself. I love the fact that I can fit into “cute” clothes again. Being so tall, I am already somewhat limited – add in being chubby, and well… you get the picture. I have lost about a size and a half and feel great

APRIL!!!!! You're the only person who submitted after photos that I know personally. I haven't seen you since August (before the healthy train contest started)… I'm SOOOO flipping excited for you! You're hot tamales. Your little waist and perfect hips and uhm… well… the area between your belly button and neck AWWWWESOME! Just like with Angie, you seem like a more confident you. I can't believe these photos. At the time I started the Healthy Train I knew I needed to lose more weight, but I generally felt really good about myself. As I look back, I can't believe how heavy I still was. Now 20.33% lighter, I feel better than ever.

Some really exciting things happened for me while on the Healthy Train:

1. I ran my first race, ever, and finished the 5k in 31:16.
2. I'm finally to a size where I can walk into a store, grab a pair of pants off the rack and they will fit.
3. The shirt I'm wearing in my 'before' photos was an XL, and in the 'after' photo the shirt I’m wearing is a MEDIUM (insanity!!).
4. Most of all, I've been reminded that I love myself amidst the weight that I still carry. I may not ever have an athlete's body, but I'm finally in a place where I like the one I've got.

  Uhm, he lost half of his body weight, right?! NO MORE EXCUUUUUSES!!!!! Your journey is remarkable. I've told everyone I know about you! You'RE SOOOO close!

I used to play sports- at least 3 a year, and I never had any trouble staying in shape. In high school I did four years of volleyball, basketball, and track (I ran distance). In college, I played two years of volleyball (ended up not playing after I injured my back- and I already have scoliosis, as you'll see in my pictures). After college, working night shift, getting lazy, and eating out has taken a SERIOUS toll on my body. I currently am just shy of totally hating the way I look, and I hate having my picture taken now because the “me” in the photo is still a shock.

My dad had a heart attack in January at 51 years of age, and the doctors told him that plaque has been building in his heart for 25 years. Since I'm 26, I figure that means I'm at risk RIGHT NOW for having to pay serious consequences later in life, and I want to be healthy. To make matters worse, I am a cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse, and it's pretty hypocritical to encourage my patients to live healthy lives when I myself am not taking care of my body. Plus, I'm in grad school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, and when I graduate in May 2011, I want to NOT be ashamed of my health status-and I want to help encourage others to take care of themselves. To do that, I need to get my act together.

 Okay Elissa… I'm mad at you right now for being even 1% nervous about sending these in!!!!! YOU ARE HOT HOT HOT! Because I'm the kind of girl who doesn't have much of a filter and usually says the first thing on her mind… here's what I have to say. 1) your face is SO much thinner! 2) uhm, your back side?! wow 3) LOVING the new haircut!

Getting this body was hard work — it took 13 years of pregnancies, breastfeeding, celebrations, traumas, and drive-through dinners  – not all at the same time, but still.  Hard work.  But I'm ready to throw it all away!

Well Bobbi I finally took my after pictures, and when I saw them it made me want to start the healthy train again with a renewed vengeance!  I can't find my before pictures, so I hope there is a difference between the before and after, but I've got to tell you seeing these pictures today is making me feel like I haven't gotten anywhere.  I REALLY don't want to send these pictures in.  But I committed to doing it, so I'm sending them.

Here's the thing, you’re still seeing nothing but, what you view as, “the problem areas” and not seeing the improvement… Which is exactly what I do and why I LOVE taking “after” photos… And also why I INSISTED on people taking a “before” photo.  It takes seeing them side by side to REALLY see that there’s such a HUGE difference.

Look at the front view… See how your arm to your shoulder isn’t as rounded? You look COMPLETELY different!   Not to mention you’re just overall narrower… Look at that waist!!!!  You look fantastic!

But your SIDE view is the one that BLEW me away!!!!!  Just take a second to really see how much smaller your stomach is. Yeah, you owe me a hug. JODI!!!!! This is a HUUUUUUGE difference!!!!!

I KNEW when you said that you’d lost 15% that I’d come home to find a HUGE difference that you hadn’t seen yet. I COULD NOT be more excited for you!

So, maybe you feel like you have more to go… But PLEASE see how far you’ve already come…

I wore a pair of yoga pants and a white tank top in hopes that it will show a lot better than the clothes I typically work out in. These fit a lot better about 20lbs ago…please don’t judge, haha!  This gives me even more motivation to lose the weight!!

after:

We have a healthy train star ladies and gents! Melissa was featured in a USA TODAY article for getting healthy. How COOL is that?!

 OOOOOKAY!!!!! THOSE LEGS?! Did you, by chance, take measurements before you started? I'd LOVE to know how many inches you've lost in your legs. WOW! Oh, and gooooooodbye love handles! You SO rocked this! 

BTW, for those that are wondering what that is on her arm… it's a BodyBugg. It's what the Biggest Losers wear to keep track of how many calories they're burning.  It's 90% accurate (those gym machines are WAYYYY off… and not in our favors!) and a great way to measure how much you should be eating.  I have one and wore it for a while… but for me, it just wasn't comfortable. I'm the only person I know who felt that way. So, it really is an amazing product. Eventually I'll probably offer it for sale here.

I am submitting my photo for your contest.  I realize that I am far in PA and may never claim the prize unless there is a NY wedding you folks are doing, but I am entering anyway.  I am huge (and you promised not to laugh) and needed something to get myself motivated. For the past month I have been trying to make little improvements but this is what is completely got me jumping on the healthy train.  I must be really blind cause I am horrified when I finally saw these before pics that my wife took this evening.  HORRIFIED.  I don’t see myself like this and the images are disgusting.  I AM going to do EVERYTHING I can to remedy this, for me, and my wife, and my 2 small children

after:

I feel like a different person! I can do things that I did not dare do before. simple things most folks don't realize: sitting in a booth at a restaurant, tying my shoes while they are on, without putting my foot up on a step, my 8 year old daughter can almost touch her hands together when putting her arms around me, I look forward to taking my daughter on roller coasters this summer as well now that I will be able to fit in the seat and lower the safety bar AND still be able to breath (ok maybe not at this exact moment I can but by summer I will!)  Little things.  They add up

I am now, as of this past Saturday, 24.3% smaller, have lost 7 pants sizes, my glasses fit better, my watch has had links taken out (twice), and my shoes are too big.  I plan on sticking this thru and losing another 49 pounds minimum.  Why you ask?  Cause around here, you have to be a specific weight to go skydiving, and that is something I’m going to do!
 
I also realize that we are separated by hundreds of miles.  And this would make cashing in on any prize should I win, a bit difficult.  To be honest, with my wife and I both on the Healthy Train to Skinny Town, I would wait anyhow.  And besides, I know the prize was an "After" photoshoot to show off the new hotness, I would rather wait until our worlds came together at some point, if ever, to have some really awesome Bobbi + Mike family pictures.  My motivations were really not to win anything actually, but to regain everything I have been missing out on.  To enjoy my wife's company and my children while they are young and growing.

  Can you believe that?!  When he sent in his updated photo… I nearly fainted.  Then, when I read his follow up?! Seriously, speechless.  Remember earlier (what i wrote after Alison) about how I'm sure we carry weight around our eyes?  For me, this photo confirms it. Chris, you beyond rock… thank you for joining our little train… it's been fun reading your successes every time I post an entry. 

So, someday… our paths will cross, and that day… we’ll take Chris’ family photo.  He, along with his wife (who’s lost an even higher %, but didn’t join the train), have ABSOLUTELY earned it. Can’t wait to see their transformation in person.  

Those before and afters up there are SHOCK SHOCKING… SHOOOCKKKKINGGGG!!!!! Not only do I see a physical change in each of you, but I can see it the way you're standing/smiling… a NIGHT and day difference in confidence. JEEEEZE LOUISE!  

To be 1000000% honest, when I asked you all to send in before photos… I *hoped* it would be successful… but knew that asking a group of people to lose weight because of a blog, yeah… not to get my hopes too high.  Clearly, the results have WAYYYY exceeded my expectations!

So, on that note… we're changing lives here people!!!! It'd be dumb for me to stop now, right?!  Once I get back from Vegas and Kansas City (mid Marchish…), I'll announce another contest similar to this one (if not exactly the same).

(No worries, don't need your "after photo" quite yet… we just have an over achiever that I already mentioned ) Would LOVE to know how you did.  Remember, I need percentage lost.  Here's a quick reminder on how to figure out your percentage lost… it's SUPER easy:

EXAMPLE:  Your starting weight was 200 lbs… and you've lost 20 (making you 180)

Take the amount of weight you've lost and divide it by your starting weight:  20 ÷ 200 = .1

Take that total and multiply it by 100: .1  x 100 = 10

Add a percentage sign and BADABOOM BADABING… you're DONE:  10%!!!! 

Got it?  GOOD!

Sooo… I don't even know where to begin. HMMM…

Losing weight has given me more confidence than I ever imagined. However, getting there has been a much more difficult journey than originally anticipated… and I'm still far from my goal. So, now it's time for full disclosure blog entry, so I won't even be 1% mad if you don't read it… it's a whooooole lot… 

I started the ORIGINAL healthy train in January 2008… by June 2009… I had lost 37 lbs. Yes.. THIRTY SEVEN POUNDS! I'm 5'2… I looked like a completely different person! I walked differently, I talked differently, I dressed differently, I was a better wife, I was a more involved friend, I even think I became a better photographer.  I know some of this sounds ridiculous but, I'm telling you… confidence and self esteem are crazy things and affect more parts of our lives than we realize.

Thennnn the craziness of our business happened… I had full intentions of maintaining that summer and would start again with the weight loss when things died down in November.  Well… I maintained until July… THEN THE TRAVELING HIT! (We slept in our bed only 6 nights in July… yeah, THAT much traveling) As I've mentioned on this blog one zillion times, traveling and I are NOT friends when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. I struggle… and I struggle HUGELY.

So anyway… by October… OHHHH I can't believe I'm admitting this here… I gained back… AHHHHHH…. 17 lbs. SEVENTEEN POUNDS!!!!! How do you gain SEVENTEEN pounds in FOUR months???? (MAN OH MAN admitting this here is REALLY hard for me).  I got really depressed.  People, after seeing my healthy train blog would say when they saw me, "Bobbi, you look great!" When really… I was SURE that they only reason they were saying that was through the power of suggestion.  I would always respond with something like, "Oh, I've gained a few back… but thanks anyway!"

Holy katz… I knew something neeeeeded to happen…. that month, I started up the healthy train on this blog again hoping it would help keep me accountable and maybe motivate a few people along the way.  I asked all of you to send in before photos and to get off our asses to MAKE IT HAPPEN Oh the stories I read… wow. You guys are an incredible group of people… I was so inspired and full of hope.  

Somehow… I was eating the same way I was back when I'd lost all of the weight I did the first time… working out… feeling good about my push.  Then I weighed myself. -0.2 lost. Oh well.. maybe I'm retaining water this week. Weigh again in a week. 0 lost. EFFF! Maybe I need to poop… next week… -0.4. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! (ps. I can't believe I just talked about poop on my blog… but I'm just being honest here You guys KNOW you think about that when you weigh yourself in the morning!!!!) So… in 3 weeks I'd lost -0.6 lbs. EFFFFF!!!!!!

I kept on… however, yes yes yes… motivation was waning. I was still trying… just not trying hard enough. So, in all of my trying… I maintained. Which I guess is better than gaining, but… still not a success. I tried to remain upbeat and excited in my blog entries but deep down I was just majorly bummed out. Then, after a while, I'd just forget to blog about it at all.  AYKM?! How does one FORGET?! Who knows… but, I did. It just became harder and harder for me to admit, week after week, that I wasn't losing. Admitting failure publicly is a whole lot easier said then done… especially when I was barely trying.  Ugh… 

Then I realized… it's not about me.  I had so many of you out there looking to me for motivation and accountability.  You had set a goal, took a bit ol' bite of humble pie and emailed me a photo of yourself… a photo of you where you didn't feel beautiful… and with many photos… your stories. Many of you had hit that wall… the wall I hit when I VERRRRY first started this train… and you knew that tomorrow was going to be different, that that photo you were sending was the worse you'll ever look and that it's completely okay to send it to a near stranger because the next time you send that stranger a photo… you'd be a different, more confident person.

So, I missed a few healthy train blog entries… and with that… many of you quit "weighing in". We went from getting 50-80 of you weighing in to about 15-30. OHHH how I feel like I've let you down.  I feel a lot of guilt…. and I'm so incredibly sorry. I won't let it happen again.

A few of you, however, kept on pushing pushing PUSHING… and I COULD NOT BE MORE PROUD!  Last I checked, two men have lost over 20% of their body weight. YES… you heard me right… TWENTY PERCENT!  I just read a blog comment from a woman who's lost 15%.  I just don't know what to say to that… I'm genuinely speechless.

Where does the healthy train stand now? I'm not really sure. I still have weight to lose. I'd LOVE to do another contest as I know many of you have hit that aforementioned wall and are ready to jump aboard. CHOOO CHOOOO!!!! However, I'm the queen of having too many irons in the fire and thinking that I can take on any big project then only realizing that I'm only able to give that project 10% of myself, and that's not fair to you. 

HOWEVERRRR… a few of you have emailed and said that they wouldn't have started the healthy lifestyle without my extra push.  Do you have ANY idea how amazing of a feeling that is?!  That this little blog was the little bit of extra motivation needed for someone who was morbidly obese to finally do something about it for his family?

So yeah, I feel a responsibility to keep on keepin' on.  This healthy train is so much bigger than me. It's taken on a life of its own… and I couldn't be more proud of you all. SHEEEEESH… now I'm crying. PULL IT TOGETHER BOBBI…you still have more to write!

OOOOKAY…. back to my weight loss journey Some time in January… I hit that wall again.. I'd been maintaining since November and it was TIME to start loving myself again.  Since then, I've lost about 9 lbs.  That makes me only 7 lbs more than my low point… and makes my total weight loss 29 lbs. I feel good about that. For the first time since gaining back all that weight, when someone compliments my weight loss I say, "thank you" rather than my usual "ohhh… I've gained back weight, but thank you" So, yay.

On that note, I do have to say… I'm good at posing in photos… and feel silly when people see me in person after only knowing me online… So, don't be shocked when you see a short, chubbyish red head with a big ol' smile coming your way.

HOOOOLY SHIZZZZ… that's a whole lotta words up there.. and wow to you if you actually read it all. I owe you a hug.

If any of you have anything you'd like to say, please feel 10000000% comfortable saying it down there in the comment section. Remember, when you're with me, you're in the JUDGMENT FREE ZONE!!!! Also, I welcome any feedback or thoughts on the continuation of the train.

I'd LOOOOOOVE to see it, I'm sure lots of people would love to see your progress.  You'd be AMAZED at what seeing someone elses "after" photo will do for their motivation!  FURTHERMORE… even if you've "only lost 10 lbs"… TAKE IT… because seeing the difference is a BIG damn deal (TRUST me!).  You'll be amazed, I promise.

Here's my original "before and after". Between the photo on the left (October, 2008) and the one on the right (May, 2009) there's a 26 lb difference. (I'm only about 3 lbs more now than I was then… YAYYY!)

Healthy train competitors: to qualify to win… I need a new "after photo" along with a percentage lost… (See wayyyy above for info on how to calculate that).  Like I said, even if you don't think you won… SEND IT IN!!!!!  OHHHH YES… what you've been waiting for is here… our Jamaican amazingness.  First up, their engagement session.

 HELLLLLL YESSSSS!!!!! AYKM WITH THAT BEAUTY!??! I KNEW when I took this photo that it was going up right here on the bliggity blog!  Oh, and about all of the extra color in these images. I swear to you… I used the same process I always use (I even toned it down a bit) but that Jamaican sunlight is outtttta this world!!! We're all just naturally vibrant there.

As we were walking out onto these rocks… I think I almost fell 10x. As a matter of fact, Mike took the cameras from me because I'm a weeee bit awkward (understatement of the year).  They, however… could have ran on them, I'm not kidding! I kept saying, "you two move so nimbly!" (Yes, I know that's not a word… but they knew what I meant, so I say… IT'S A WORD!) I swear to you… they were like ballerinas compared to my clumzy ass!

 We literally took ONE photo here when Suzanne ran off and started jumping around like a crazy person… "ANTS ANTS!!!! ANTS DON'T BITE?!?!!!" I guess they don't bite in Nova Scotia… but they sure the heck do in Jamaica! Yes yes yes… fire ants… INTENSE! After she shook all of the ants off we walked for another minute when she said, "it itches so bad!" 

"Where?" I responded as I knelt down closely to her foot.

"There!" she pointed.

SMMMMMACK!!!!!!! Oh yes… WithOUT hesitation I took a BIG OL' swat at her ankle. You see, I've had more mosquito bites than anyone I know, and I'm ridiculously allergic (I'm convinced they love Irish blood). Anyway… I KNEW that the best way to make it stop itching is to smack it. Right after I did this, I immediately thought to myself, "OH NO! I shouldn't have done that… I totally went in to auto pilot!" as in.. that's exactly what I would have done if it had happened to a friend. 

I asked, "does it itch anymore?"

"Nope!" she said. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!

WOW… I can't believe I told you that story… makes me look like a loony toony. Oh well… I am who I am! And…we were able to shoot for another hour… so, BOOOYA FIRE ANTS!!!

Favorite moment of the day?

Christine: After the recessional, we went straight into the cry room and someone (maybe our coordinator?) shut the door so it was just us and Bobbi.
Dan: I actually thought we were going straight back out to the bus, so I didn't know what was going on
Christine: …it was just us, alone, for a few minutes for the first time in days.
Dan: And it was a perfect first moment together as husband and wife.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?   

Christine: Hire the following: a Day of Coordinator and bobbi+mike   
Dan: Something my groomsman Ben passed on to me – take a break and put yourself in the moment as much as you can – you've never experienced a day that fast in your life

Funniest memory from your wedding day?     

Christine: This clip being played right before he played the associated song.  Totally us, and totally a suprise (thanks, Tom!)    
Dan: Christine's five year old cousin, after dancing with the tambourine for seemingly hours, turning to Christine at the end of the night saying, "Excuse me, what would you like me to do with this?"  

Favorite bobbi+mike moment?   (for the record, this question wasn't included in my list… they just threw it in! )  

Dan: When Mike awarded me "Quote of the Year" for saying, "It only takes one pair of white socks to ruin a wedding".     
Christine: When we stopped for beer after the ceremony and Mike went in to the gas station to get Bobbi a soda and snack.  We're both lucky to have amazing, thoughtful husbands

 Gosh, there's a WHOLE LOTTA me in this blog entry… but I COULD NOT resist taking a photo with THE BEST wedding planners in St. Louis.

 Usually I wouldn't start a blog entry with a photo of a detail… but let me tell you… THESE shoes were QUITE the show stopper!  VERY much Laura's favorite element of the day. 

 She waited until I photo'd the shoes to put in the "foot petals"  Though, upon further examination… their shape (sitting on her knee) is quite interesting…

 This is SOOOO Laura… and I adore her!   You see, they had to do some SERIOUS teasing to get her hair to have a good poof…  I've never seen hair teased up that high! (which would explain why her hair didn't BUDGE the entire day!)

 She had this hanger made by an Etsy artist… Pretty cool, huh?!

 Chuck is a journalist… Laura gave these vintage typewriter key cufflinks to him the morning of their wedding.  One of the many things I learned about Laura that day… she's an incredibly good and thoughtful gift giver!

 On the way over to the church, we were all on the bus when Laura snuggled in to his neck to smell for Chuck's cologne… "Are you wearing the cologne I got you?!"

He responded… "I put it on!"

She sweetly moved in to smell his neck…

"WHERE?!"

Maybe you had to be there… it was super funny. I told Mike about it later and he said… "I watched him put it on!" I thought to myself… Mike never remembers little things like that… weird!  Then I saw this photo… and realized why he remembered! That's quite the memorable expression for the application of cologne! Chuck is so expressive/animated!  I'm a fan

 ABBBBBBSOLUTELY our FAVORITE part of the day… this was THEEEEE best first sight we've ever ever EVER witnessed.  Chuck turned around to see her and with THE most genuinely astonished look on his face he exclaimed, "WOW!!!! You look like a model out of bridal magazine! You're so beautiful!!!!" Meanwhile Laura is wiping tears.  MAN OH MAN I'm giving this ZERO justice as I'm not good at telling stories… but I assure you… it was one of the most perfect and genuine moments we've seen.  Mike's favorite photo

Notice her bustle came loose? You see… right before the reception, her bustle broke.  Now, I don't mean to brag… but I'm kind of the queen of the bustle.   I'm also the queen of humbleness! Anyway… as soon as it broke, the wedding planner ran over with some safety pins… Laura has been reading this blog for quite a while and has known of my bustling triumphs… "BOBBI! YOU CAN FIX IT!!!!!" So, I went to work and guaranteed its quality… 

"It'll last all night, I promise!"

Well… 4+ hours later… as they were doing their FINAL dance… four safety pins fell onto the dance floor and out came her bustle. As soon as the song ended, she noticed, looked at me and exclaimed "PERFECT TIMING!"

….WHEW!  Close call… Luckily for me, I can still claim my throne as the queen of the bustle

The last dance funky reprise of "Stand By Me" – I think it's impossible to get tired of that song, and the fact that they played it twice – for the first and last dance – makes me happy Chuck liked when we were announced as "Mr. and Mrs." at the reception and I kind of dove onto him and kissed him. ha!

Advice for future brides/grooms?

Other than hire Bobbi+Mike?! Hire a wedding planner! Valarie was phenomenal – I didn't worry about a thing all day.

Would we change anything?

Nope. It was perfect. (other than the broken bustle – Bobbi to the rescue!)

…a quick tip from me… make sure your bustle consists of more than one tie!

Favorite purchase?

Other than my Kenneth Pool gown, my Shannon Britt shoes were a fave. Hopefully they don't look like Eskimo shoes in the pictures – they were just too much fun!

Laura and Chuck…. AHHHHH!!!!! You two are the BEST BEST BEST!  We loved every second of your day. We TRULY felt like old friends with fancy cameras From Chuck's excitement about his gift (a fancy new Canon camera!!!!) and sharing it with us during your first sight… to the trip with just me around the block in the limo bus right after your wedding… not ONCE did we feel like "just your photographers." Usually we try and blend into these private moments as they we're not even there… however, that's not how you two roll… and it was perfect Thank you for being you…

SOOO… we just got back from an AWESOME wedding in Jamaica Hence the lack of twitter updates and blog entries… Can't WAIT to show you THAT amazingness! On THAT note, I would call it a victory that I only gained 1.6 lbs while there… at an all-inclusive no less!

Here's hoping I have GREAT news for you guys in two weeks (as it's Vegas time in 3 weeks… AHHHH!!!!) Though, I am going out of town this weekend for a little friend gathering. As many of you know, traveling gives me some serious anxiety with the healthy train… so wish me luck

PS. for those who were asking for a reminder on how to figure out your percentage lost… it's SUPER easy!  Take the amount of weight you've lost and divide it by your starting weight.  Take that total and multiply it by 100. So, if you weighed 200 lbs… and you've lost 20… that's 20 ÷ 200 = .1 x 100 = 10% Got it?  GOOD!

 In the HISTORY of bbmk engagement sessions… NEVER and I mean NEVER have we had a couple even 20% as playful & silly as these two.  You're about to see the amazingness that that equals

 HELLOOOOO BOBBILICIOUS!!!! RE: the improvement of my teeth… I CANNOT EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH BETTERRRRRR THEY LOOOOOOK!!!!! A little over a year ago… my teeth were the definition of snaggle teeth.  Now, I'm (hopefully) almost through with Invisalign… and couldn't be happier.  I'm sure I'll be writing more about that process later… when they're done
