As I was editing this session… I couldn't help but be filled with both happiness and envy. I know that's strange, but really… as I was looking through them I was thinking about how I wish that I had photos like this with my mom and dad…. how priceless these sorts of sessions really are. For me, it's more than just a photo for a Christmas card… Gosh, I know I sound SOOOOO cheesy right now… whateva! As you're looking through these photos, picture yourself as Luke… and Helen and Dave as your parents… pretend these are your photos of your family… and maybe you'll understand why I felt that way…

CHICAGO. Isn't Luke ADORRRRRRABLE!? I've gotta tell you… that young man is SO full of life and has an INCREDIBLE amount of energy…. We just love being around that whole family.

At first, Luke wanted nothing to do with the session… afterall, it was their first ever family photo…. so getting his photo taken by complete strangers was a bit foreign to him. Helen and Dave kept saying, "this is so not like him!" HOWEVER… Mikey somehow won him over and Luke was hamming it up in no time. Those two got along PERFECTLY! If Luke got into a bit of a sour mood… Mike was there to the rescue. I'm not gonna lie… it shocked even me! I sent the full gallery to Helen soon after the session… she emailed me and said, "Luke keeps asking where Mike is in the pictures, 'I want to see Mike, I want to see Mike!'" Needless to say, he left quite an impression on the little guy.

Helen and Dave… thank you SOOOOO much for asking us to capture your family! Before long… you'll be in the "photographed by bobbi+mike three times" clubUhm yeah… you don't have an option. See you in October

Ah Bobbi.. you know that is so true. How sad is that, that there were no “Bobbi & Mike” when I was growing up. And my parents didn’t think about taking pictures like that, or even have our pictures taken by someone.

Beautiful family.. just gorgeous. So gorgeous. If I have a million bucks, I would fly all my family to you, and have our pictures taken

Wow. What a beautiful family. Although I don’t have pictures like this from when I was a kid….we were lucky enough to have you and Mikey shoot my fam before the wedding and those pics are SOOO treasured by all of us. I hope to be able to have you guys photo OUR children…..then we’ll be in the photoed FOUR times club!!! Love you both and miss you. Thanks for doing what you do so well. It means so much to me to look at all the photos of my fam you have taken.

Sweet little family session! I love the first photo. The laying in bed shot is so cute too. The more I see these family sessions, the more I realize I suck at getting my own family (as a whole) in front of the camera. Need to change that soon!

These are too cute! Your little intro really got me thinking about how important family session really are too… My family has so many pictures of me and my brother and sister as kids, but my mom is never in them because she was taking the pictures! Your family sessions must feel like such a gift to the parents.

This is probably my favorite family session EVER! Seriously! We need to book you, ASAP! I can’t pick a favorite. And I totally understand what you are saying about envy. I wish I had photos like that with my family. we don’t have any family photos. So for real, we are in the Carolina’s, ever get down this way? If not then we need to fly you down or we will take a road trip up to Indianapolis! We need to get started, we wanna be in this 3 club!
