Mike's dad wanted to make a fashion statement. I'm in!

One of the bridesmaids (who also happened to be a florist) was cutting stems off of the bouquets when I went over to pick up her "trash." She said, "wow, thank you!" Little did she know I was actually making her trash my treasure:)(how cheesy was that?!) That blue ring was her grandmother's ring. Pretty cool if you ask me.:D

I love the joy of this photo.

She wanted her hair to be completely unique. Mission accomplished! Isn't the top AWESOME! She was walking down the stairs when I noticed it. CLICK CLICK CLICK!

They were walking back from our photo session when I noticed this little role reversal. She's wearing his jacket and he's carrying her bouquet. So of course I had to take another Abbey Road shot…:)It was like 25° out… but if it were warmer, I would have asked Mike to take his shoes off.;)

INDIANAPOLIS. ANNNNND…. bobbi+mike got to go to another AMAZING event! How could we be so lucky in our lives?! When they put Kristina's veil on… I got a little misty eyed, the moment seemed as though it was right out of a movie… everyone was in the right place, she looked stunning, the crowd was oohing and ahhing… and there I was, the cameraman:)(it's just that my camera takes stills:)) Kristina is one of the sweetest people in the world. Her little giggle is so perfect. Thinking about it makes me smile:)She's wonderful. As many of you know, I have a personal wedding day rule… I never leave the bride (within reason of course!). Oftentimes, it's just she and I… and I really aim for that to feel natural. Usually, my favorite moment of the day is right before the bride walks down the aisle. Before Kristina's dad came to greet her, it was just us. I was doing what I do best when Kristina calls me over and starts to fix my hair. Yes… she's FIXING MY HAIR right before she walks down the aisle!!!!! She says, "I'm not the only one who should feel beautiful today." Wow.:)How awesome is that? I told you that I'm the luckiest girl in the world… and I meant that.:)Mike will be the perfect husband. He cares so deeply for Kristina and it's obvious in how he looks at her, how protective he is, and how big his smile is when she's around. Mike's groomsmen however… are ORNERY! But, I LOVED every second with them! I can take it just as much as I can dish it… so, these guys were really feeling especially fiesty. When I'm photoing men, I feed off of that orneryness. Weird huh? Hence why I put so many photos with groomsmen up there. They're just so fun!:DOnly twice have I seen a dance floor like this. It was NEVER not packed. And I mean… PACKED!!!!! The band Living Proof was FREAKING AMAZING!!!! Jessica and Leonard, the lead vocalists (who also happen to be married) give SO much to their performance. They dance and sing, and REALLY sing… and then DANCE even harder!!!! I LOVE them!!!!!:DThank you thank you thank you. It was such an awesome day…. Thanks for being you. We love you two. ~bobbi+mike:!:+:?:

Oh, just in case anyone was wondering about her veil.. it's called a Madonna Veil… and it's a personal favorite.:)Click here for their slide show! The user name is Kristina's last name and the password is Mike's last name in all lower case. Enjoy!

Hail hail the gangs all here:)

27_km.jpg

And in this photo I showed Kristina my amazing shrinking Bobbi trick! I'm only 2' tall here.:)

28_km.jpg

And in this one… my amazing growing Bobbi trick. Okay… I'm just on my tippy toes. Nice try though, right? Mike (the groom) is I'm guessing 6'2" and I'm well… much shorter. I walk around on my tippy toes when I'm shooting tall people. Which compared to me… everyone is pretty tall. My calves are VERY strong:)(well, they should be;))

29_km.jpg

she even branded our place card:)I think I'm going to print this for myself and hang it above my computer.:)Have I mentioned that I adore you Kristina?

hi Jen! :D Thanks so much for your comment :) Nope… no flash. However… the Omni Bridal Suite has HUGE windows… so I can’t take all of the credit. :D

Thanks again!

Your work is stunning and very inspirational to me! I love all it. Everything you’ve taken at this wedding are photos I wish I had taken of me at my wedding.

Thanks for the information on your favorite wedding lens. I think I need to invest in a 50mm 1.2 :)

So many of the getting ready ones don’t even look like you’ve used flash, were they all natural light or do you bring lighting?

I love your work!

AmyApril 13, 2008 - 2:09 pm

stunning bride … hysterical dance-off pics … funny wedding party … the pictures are fabulous!!

MIND|Castle StudiosApril 12, 2008 - 2:19 am

CrystalApril 10, 2008 - 9:59 pm

I LOVE all of these! What a beautiful wedding! I am wondering, does anyone know what brand the bridesmaid dresses are? I am going shopping with my BM tomorrow and would love to know where to look for something like this. They look so beautiful on all the girls. Thanks!

Diane R.April 10, 2008 - 9:42 pm

Kristina is as sweet as she is beautiful. You can truly see and feel how Michael cares for his new bride. With every picture I felt so much emotion, you made me laugh and cry. Thank you so much for capturing so many moments of such an unbelieveable day. Bobbi and Mike your the best!!!!

HeidijotheartistApril 10, 2008 - 9:31 am

This is one of my favorite weddings you guys have done so far. Just lots of awesome photos, so hard to pick just one favorite or even a couple for that matter! Even though I haven’t been commenting, doesn’t mean I still don’t check out your blog. Usually I have the little one in my arms, so it is hard to type. So anyhow, I was at the library with my son yesterday and upon leaving the library, I told him to say by to Bob.., I caught my-self before I finished saying your name, but I was still a bit embarrassed! Her name is Barbie (well Barb, but too many Barb’s at the library), she was cool with it…I guess she’s been called Bob before, by a kiddo that she used to babysit….so anyhow, you and your guys photography has been on my mind! You guys are my favorite photographers in case you didn’t know!!!

Bev MillerApril 9, 2008 - 9:14 pm

Kate "Phenomenal" MartinApril 9, 2008 - 9:37 am

I have some comments. duh.
I LOVE her dress. Priscilla of Boston perhaps?
I also love the toe-up on the headless bridesmaid shot. (That was a weird sentence)
And PS sister…you’ve only seen dancing like that once before?
Must I remind you of a floor full of Macedonians in a circle? Raging clarinetists that seemed like snake charmers??? THE BEST MICHAEL JACKSON IMPERSONATION TO EVER HIT THE STAGE!?!?!?!

haha. love you. wish we could’ve seen you this weekend.

LIz RamirezApril 9, 2008 - 8:41 am

Simply amazing pictures!

MombaApril 9, 2008 - 7:26 am

Oh My Goodness. What an awesome wedding. Kristina and Mike have to be very pleased with how you and Mikey captured their day. Kristina looked absolutely gorgeous, from her unique hair style, to her lacy dress, all the way down to her shoes. I love the B&W window photo that truly shows the detail on her dress. The photo at the alter, of which is your fave, looks as if God is looking down on Kristina. The dance pics cracked me up. Great job Bobbi and Mikey.

Love you both,

Momba

Jennie SkeensApril 9, 2008 - 7:25 am

i love how in the one with the bridesmaids (no heads) shot one the girls foot is kicked up. adds that little element that takes a “perfect” pose to a unique one.
