lisa+adam

Here’s another early AM sunrise session:D(One of the main reasons we encourage our couples to do AM sessions during the summer is because of the heat… it’s literally 20° cooler in the morning. I’d call that worth it!;)oh, and… the light’s ridiculous). I’ve been SO excited to share these on the blog:DStarting things off with our favorite :!:  +:?:

When it comes to my processing…  I like to be consistent from session to session. HOWEVER, this session brought out the wacky Bobbi in me and I got experimental… I SO CRAZY!

….now onto Lisa and Adam’s awesomeness. I met these two about 4 years ago at Jessica and Josh’s wedding, one of the first I ever photographed (and one of only 4 weddings that I photographed without Mike). Adam is Jessica’s brother. BADABOOM BADABING!

When I posted a teaser on the bobbi+mike biz page on Facebook (as I do with every session) Lisa about pooped herself. Okay… maybe not… but really… she might go down in history as one of THE most excited bb+mk brides to see her photos. You see, Lisa has been following our blog for about four years, when she saw the photo she said. “Ok, so I can’t stop looking at the teaser photo. We’ve followed your blog for so long and to see us in one of your photos is weird! (not in a bad way of course!) It’s just weird to see us in a really good picture. I’m not sure how I’ll react when I see the rest. I’m sure a combo of scream, dance, jump and scream some more.” SOOO LISA… are you screaming/dancing/jumping/screaming some more?!!??!?;)MAN OH MAN I’m a HUGE fan of you two!

When we were planning the session I asked them what they had in mind for locations… they pretty much said “we like to have fun… you’re the experts, we trust you… so wherever!” So… I found us some fun;)

OH HELLLLLLLO SUNRISE!!!!!!!!

Lisa and Adam, I can’t think of very many times I’ve had so much fun on an engagement shoot. Thank you for being you:DYour wedding is going to be the shizzzzz!!!!!

Adam’s a percussionist who teaches at a middle school and high school focusing (from what I’ve gathered) on the marching band. I, as many of you know… was in the marching band in the color guard… and like most flag girls…  I’ve dated percussionists  :)  From what I remember, here’s how drummers talk to each other, “Bup, da dup dup, digga digga dut. brap brap brap digga dut. brzzzt! brzzzt! Brigga-digga dup bup bup brigga dut!” So, if you see Adam out and about… just start talking nonsense… he’ll high five you, guaranteed.

He’s also had those sideburns since I met him four years ago. I’m not sure anyone would recognize him if he shaved them!

“act like the world has tipped and you’re falling…”;)Guys… thanks for playing along… you two are fantastic sports!

UHM… ARE YOU KIDDING me with this TRUCK?! No?… you’re not kidding?! THEN WOW TO THIS!

Nothing like squeezing into a child sized teacup on a Monday morning;)

Lisa and Adam, you two are the hotness… the DEFINITION of hotness!

HMMMM…. maybe THIS one is my fave. I’m undecided… I’m picking both… and don’t try to talk me out of it.:!:

I’m a bit slow to post here, after all they’ve now been married an entire month!
Bobbi, you definitely have a real eye for an image. You’ve really caught Adam’s playful, crazy side with the jumping shot – I can so see him doing that without a photographer around. It’s wonderful seeing a glimpse of these two that we don’t normally get to see (the 1st truck, kiddie ride, the tea cup and the ferris wheel).
If I had 1/10th of your eye and ability – I know my pics would be much better than they are. Keep up the great work.

Hello to the funnest, yes I said funnest, hubby & wifey photog team out there! I’ve been checking out your work for months now and can I just say WOW!!!? I’m so in love with what you do and that you do this together. I am very inspired by your work and can totally get a feel for your personalities through reading your blogs. Thank you for sharing! I started shooting weddings for friends and family last year and slowly began my own business in the Chicagoland area. I hope to one day measure up to 1/2 of what you two have accomplished. I also hope to one day get married to my better half one day and can only dream that when that happens, you two will be available! hehe! Keep up the beautiful work. I can’t wait to see the next post! Thanks!

Liz

As a friend of Lisa’s, I have to agree with Carter. These pictures couldn’t be anyMORE Lisa. You really captured her personality. I wasn’t there, but I can hear her silly remarks in between takes just by the smiles and emotions you caught on film. They are such a fun couple! If I ever decide to take a walk down the aisle, I know who’s taking my pics now. Great, Great job!

carter bellJune 27, 2010 - 1:58 pm

I’ve known Adam since college and I love how you captured his personality perfectly! It is obvious he is so in love with Lisa (and she with him), but you can tell in some of the pictures that he is up to something! :) Plus you celebrated his classic black t-shirt and side burns! :) peace.
