melanie+adam

Now… I have a personal blog rule of only posting 15 images for each portrait session. Why? Because I've already blown my bandwidth once… HOWEVER, for this post… the 15 image post rule is OUT THE WINDOW!

A HUGE thanks to lauren & robbie. for helping me with perfecting the "gray" black and white. I'd been working on it for months. I spent a few days with them three weeks ago and VOILA… I LOVE IT! This photo is one of my favorites :!:

Another example of two COMPLETELY different photos taken at nearly the exact same time… One by Mike and the other by me. Mikey's shot…

…and here's mine. Isn't that cool? I LOVE working with him! He inspires me every day.

Oh, and… CHECK OUT THOSE EYELASHES!!!!!

Melanie wanted to do the jumping shot… She ROCKED IT! Here's Mikey's version…

CINCINNATI, Ohio. We've been looking SO forward to shooting Melanie and Adam's engagement session because they're such awesome and talented people. You guys already know about these two from this post. As if you couldn't already tell… this is the much talked about twin of Eric :D . Because they're pro wedding photographers… we are SO honored that they've chosen us to shoot their wedding. Oh, by the way… we are INCREDIBLY proud of EVERY photo we took! Of course… Melanie and Adam are GORGEOUS… so, that helps :D Usually photographers don't like to be on the "other end of the lens" However…. these two knew how to work it out! They told us that they were looking forward to the session because they don't have any photos of themselves. Well…. we were happy to help :D When Melanie and I were emailing back and forth trying to pick a location for their engagement shoot… I suggested something downtown with lots of color, character, graffiti, etc. Well… they found the PERFECTO spots! However, we were well… not in the safest parts of town. Between Melanie walking around in her rainbow socks and me with my ridiculously loud laugh… we certainly weren't blending. By the end of the shoot… when people were asking us what we were doing… I started to tell them they were models. It worked :) They left us alone. Though, COME ON.. is it really that much of a stretch?! Their wedding is NEXT MONTH and we can't hardly WAIT! ~bobbi+ :!: PS. Hi erin+eric ! PPS. Hey photographers… What do you think of the slight change to our color post processing? And the new "gray" black and white?

Jamie DelaineAugust 27, 2007 - 12:39 pm

Um, YEAH, LOVE IT. You guys SO know that this was your best shoot and I’m about to agree. You naillllled it. They look so comfortable in front of the lens and the poses in this shoot are wow. I could write all day, because I’m a terrible summarizer and a rambler but I’ll stop.

Just go buy yourself a venti frap at starbucks with tons of whip cream to celebrate how amazing you are. Sounds good? Do it!

P.S. Are you shooting RAW?

JennyAugust 27, 2007 - 10:15 am

I’ve been fans of you two for ages now and this just confirms it. I didn’t think you could get ANY better and you JUST DID! We’ve gotta meet sometime. I’d have loads to talk about! We could be camera dorks for hours!

Love your new processing. LOVE the Black and White. Beautiful and fun as always!

Dustin StellerAugust 27, 2007 - 8:33 am

Dare I say it? I think this is your best couples shoot yet. I want to go outside, grab a random couple of people and shoot them for three hours, just because I am so inspired right now…at 7 in the morning! Love both of your captures, you guys.
