one word.

We’re working on a little bobbi+mike print piece and we were wondering if you guys could help us:)

Can you think of one word to describe our photography/personalities? We’re REALLY struggling here. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Love you guys!

~bobbi+mike:!:+:?:

PS. this excludes you smart alec Nate;)

Super-caffeinated!

I know, I’m as “alec-y” as nate.

:D

rebecca-linh rodgersFebruary 2, 2008 - 11:39 am

okay- I am totally late for this game but after much thought– my one word is

“FUNNER”

and yes, I do know that really isn’t an actual word… but if there are two people in the photography world that can pull off an undefined word– it’s you two.

Cause you guys are much more “funner” than the rest! ;)

Melissa E EarleFebruary 1, 2008 - 11:26 pm

I said this in Facebook, but
“Personality”

LOVE the personality you guys have and display!!!

Suzanne W.January 30, 2008 - 11:39 am

kaleidoscopic – how does that sound? I didn’t make it up either..it is a REAL word! You capture so much light and energy in your pictures, and you bring that with you everywhere you go….so, I thought of something that is like you and a kaleidoscope came to mind. What do you think? Am I a dork?

JameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeJanuary 30, 2008 - 11:06 am

Good job, Marisa! I’m curious if she’s a fan of the movie Threesome (where the word is very well used…) or just knows cool words. Bobs and Mikey are most certainly PHANTASMAGORIC! :)

MarisaJanuary 30, 2008 - 9:58 am

Phantasmagoric…..I am sure you think this is a word I made up but I assure you it isn’t. To prove this I give you several definitions:

fantastic imagery, dreams

1: an exhibition or display of optical effects and illusions
2 a: a constantly shifting complex succession of things seen or imagined b: a scene that constantly changes
3: a bizarre or fantastic combination, collection, or assemblage

Mostly, this is my favorite word in the world!

JenJanuary 30, 2008 - 8:37 am

“inspiring” comes to mind for me – I’m from Lancaster PA, and look at your website every single day!
another is “infectious” (which doesn’t sound like a good thing, but it is!!!!) – you can’t help but feel whatever is being portrayed in any of your photos, because they’re all so amazing.

CherylJanuary 30, 2008 - 8:26 am

I’m really late getting to this… let’s see…
How about:

energetic
effervescent
luminous
intriguing
exuberant

CallieJanuary 30, 2008 - 8:17 am

Fun. Lively. Beautiful. Artistic. Innovative.

I found your blog by clicking links in other blogs and truly don’t know how I got here, but after seeing your work the blog went on one of my “must check” lists. Your photos are beautiful, artistic and innovative. If you ever make it down to the Tampa Bay area let me know. I would *love* to watch you work.

Jamie JJanuary 29, 2008 - 9:39 pm

Bobbi…you always – no, ALWAYS say…”ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” So I say make that into your ONE word!!

Tori ClementsJanuary 29, 2008 - 8:57 pm

vivid
standout
profound
avant-garde
and my personal favorite…top-drawer!
xoxo :)

JeremyJanuary 29, 2008 - 7:07 pm

“Rockalicious” is a good substitute for “Rocktastic.”

Just in case my stroke of genius wasn’t tasty enough.

LaceyJanuary 29, 2008 - 5:27 pm

Eccentric or ecclectic

LindseyJanuary 29, 2008 - 5:09 pm

JameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeJanuary 29, 2008 - 5:05 pm

One word… this is like telling someone to pick their favorite Bobbi + Mike photo! When thinking along a figurative path – I’d go with spicy or something to that effect. For something more literal – you guys are just an absolute complement to any style of ceremony or other event – everyone loves you… so: complement, enhance… For a unique word – I’d say JIBE – you guys just work it and you really do jibe with everything special there could ever be with any event. My word to describe you would be a bit more obsessive like pinnacle or perfect or favorite – I”m sure you’re a bit more humble… right?!?

Love you!

Kim KelleyJanuary 29, 2008 - 4:24 pm

Ok…I’ve had some time to think (as you can see by my post date LoL). How about sublime?

Kim KelleyJanuary 29, 2008 - 4:19 pm

Indescribable. Honestly how do you expect us to sum you and Mike up in one word. Come on! LOL

P BrynneJanuary 29, 2008 - 4:10 pm

Delicious!

or “Rockalicious”

what can I say… I add “licious” to almost everything.

(your work is brilliant, the colors are brilliant)

KristenJanuary 29, 2008 - 3:42 pm

One word? Not happening!

But if you were a crime-fighting duo, you’d be

Spantabulous & sassy!

JenJanuary 29, 2008 - 3:32 pm

MollyJanuary 29, 2008 - 2:02 pm

I also like ‘spunky’ and ‘plucky’. And ‘bold’.

MollyJanuary 29, 2008 - 2:00 pm

How about ‘goofy’? It’s accurate, and I have to admit…I’d definitely look twice at a photog who advertised themself as ‘goofy’ because to me, it would mean they were fun and funny. (But saying ‘fun’ and ‘funny’ are just a little too predictable…which you definitely are NOT.

Heather ColeJanuary 29, 2008 - 1:45 pm

$ Betty. :)

All jokes aside, it’s hard to pick just ONE word to describe the BOTH of you. To me…perhaps a saying or phrase…

I like…Because I can.

:)

Love you.

Amy MartinJanuary 29, 2008 - 11:15 am

nateJanuary 29, 2008 - 11:09 am

Well fine then!!

(but you already know my word ;)

CathyJanuary 29, 2008 - 11:09 am

AWESOME :)

I really like the BOLD suggestion. Some synonyms for that would be: DARING, FEARLESS, PLUCKY, GUTSY, and SPUNKY. And I think COLORICIOUS should definitely be in the running :)

jamieJanuary 29, 2008 - 11:04 am

FUN! CLEAN! MODERN!

kilaxJanuary 29, 2008 - 10:57 am

Fantabulous?

Effervescent is it! ;)

Nicole NeffJanuary 29, 2008 - 10:40 am

I think BOLD is perfect…it describes your personalities (especially you, Bobbi!!), your shooting style and your colors! You’re not afraid to take risks!
