Together  ::  July 16, 2003  •  Engaged  ::  June 28, 2010  •  Married  ::  July 16, 2011  ::  Cooper Mountain, CO

Jayleen ::  engineer  •  Hometown  ::  Fargo, ND  •   five words  ::  Spontaneous, adventurous, smart, youthful, fun-loving

James  ::  engineer  •  Hometown  ::  Littleton, CO  •   five words  ::  Explorer, intuitive, teacher, curious, chef

How they met  ::  Jayleen called James to see if he wanted to be a teammate on a student reduced gravity experiment and fly “weightless” on the Vomit Comet, aka NASA’s KC-135 reduced gravity aircraft, while they were cooperative education students at NASA. Everything was platonic during the design-build-test-fly opportunity and James just happened to have an extra Dave Matthews Band ticket for the night of our flight day and asked Jayleen to go with. Eight years later and they walked down the aisle on their flight date and the anniversary of Apollo 11’s launch.

chelsea+troy  ::  married 7 years •  November 15, 2008

How they met, as told by chelsea  ::We are college sweethearts (Texas Tech), introduced through good friends, who definitely take all the credit! We were friends for a long time before actually dating, because we were both too stubborn to admit we had feelings for one another! But once we made it official, there was no stopping us.

chelsea ::  hometown – Houston, Texas ::  photographer  ::  five words –  intelligent, driven, gorgeous, funny, creative

troy  ::  hometown – Houston, Texas ::  supply chain management  ::  five words –  thoughtful, strong, genuine, patient, charming

Bree  ::  2.5 years old  ::  five words –  energetic, smart, silly, brave, sassy

Everett  :: 11 months  ::  five words –  curious, sensitive, happy, lovable, carefree

Your perfect Saturday  ::  Sleep in and have a big breakfast, then pack a picnic lunch, load into the car (with the dogs too!) and head to the beach or park for the day to play. We would return home for a long nap, then go for a walk around the neighborhood before dinner on the back patio — anything Troy grills is delicious. After a dozen stories and bedtime for the kiddos, Troy and I would sit on the patio with a glass of wine, then pile into bed for a Netflix marathon!

Much love friends!
