sarah+sam

I realize it’s not very PC to say that anything is a favorite. BUT… I’m kind of a rebel.;)This wedding is absolutely one of my favorite weddings we’ve ever photographed… yeah… that’s kind of a big deal.  The day was full of laughs, awesome families, long time friends and two people who were RIDICULOUSLY in love.  I’m not kidding you when I say my face hurt the next day from smiling so much the day before. :D

Okay… now on to the images…

Hey Sam… whatchya lookin’ at?

OHHHHH… THAT’S what you’re looking at! Oh and if you were wondering how these bow ties turned out…. there was an emergency trip to Men’s Wearhouse that morning…;)Need I say more? I guess it’s harder than it looks on YouTube!

FAVORITE RING SHOT OF ALLLLLLL TIME!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOYAH!!!!!!!! Sam’s ring was made my Sarah the day before. LITERALLY… MADE!

Oh… hello adorable Sarah!  BTW, doesn’t the hair stylist look a bit like Jakob Dylan?! Maybe this wasn’t the best image to show to prove my point… but I assure you… he does! I LOVE the “what famous person do you look like” game ;)  So, just trust me on this one, k?

HA!:DYou know, if I hadn’t noticed and then removed that hair tie around her wrist… I’m convinced she would have gotten married with it on!

SAM IS SO HANDSOME!!!!!!!

I think Sarah shocked herself when, right before she walked down the aisle… she started crying.:)I love the look on Dad’s face. Don’t you?

These two had an AWESOME first kiss! They’d kiss. Then kiss again. Then again. Oh wait… one more. Kidding…. not done yet. Okay, done. Notice it lasted long enough that the bridal party started walking towards their seats?

WE’RE MARRIED!

passenger seat vision;)

This group DEFINITELY kept us on our toes!;)Don’t you want to be their friend? I do.

One of my favorite bridal party shots…. ever. Man oh man… having LOTS of “favorite ever” shots here….

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! FAAAAAAAAAVORITE!!!!!!!!:!:See how comfortable, happy, loved she looks here? See how strong, sweet and loving Sam looks. This image 1000000% represents their relationship…. 1000000%! I knew when I took it that it was MONEY! I literally started jumping up and down right after that wind blew SOOO perfectly.  I snap snap snapped the shutter and then appeared to be having a seizure… nope… not a seizure, just excited;)They’ve been together for 9 years, cantchya tell?;)

My view on the right… Mike’s on the left;)

SARAH!!!! AYKM?!!???! You’re STUNNING… STUNNNNNING!!!!!!!!!!

RIGHT before we got back onto the trolly… Wacky Bobbi came out to visit;)I’m kind of in love with this. Oh wait…. VERRRRY in love with this! Sarah and Sam, THANK YOU SO MUCH for having such faith and trust in us… seriously, thank you.:)

WOW TO THIS VENUE!!!!!

Their reactons to the speeches….:)

First dance time. Remind me… what song was it? I can’t believe I’ve forgotten! Wasn’t it a country song?

Not gonna lie… capturing the bouquet toss photo isn’t the easiest of tasks…. but this one… Mike nailed it! See the girl in blue and the bridesmaid whose arm is reaching the furthest? Yeah… those two knocked heads REALLY hard .01 seconds after this shot. I wouldn’t be surprised if they each had black eyes in the morning… they got each other REALLY good!

So in love. SO in love. Perfect ending to the perfect day. Oh, and have I mentioned… SO IN LOVE!?!!!!!

sarah+sam:

What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Sarah: Trying to hold back the tears as we were hiding out in the back of the church before the processional.
Sam: The feeling I had when I saw Sarah at the end of the aisle.

What was your favorite detail?
Sarah: The b&w photos of us through the years where our ages matched the table numbers. I don’t know if anyone else picked up on that but I was pretty excited about it;)
Sam: The homemade wedding band for sure.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Sam: “Hark! My lover is like a gazelle…”

What was your favorite wedding purchase?
Sarah: My bedazzled dress. I still smile just thinking about it:)
Sam: The guys’ pipes.

Any advice for future bride/grooms?
Ladies: If he doesn’t step on your bustle, someone else will. So just let it happen, and then have Bobbi fix it for you. (BOOOOYAH! Thank you Sarah… you’re the best)
Gents: Do not underestimate the importance of details.

bobbi+mike:

What was our favorite part of the day?
bobbi
:
I have two favorite parts. 1. When Sam danced with his mom. My Aunt Karen once told me that you should marry a man based on how he treats his mother… as generally speaking, men who treat their mothers well will always treat you like gold (I’m paraphrasing… her saying is much more eloquently said..). While that’s obviously not a sure-fire sign of amazingness… I do think there’s SOME truth to it:)As I watched him dance with his mom so sweetly, I was reminded of that Aunt Karenism…:)2. watching the last dance… (pictured above).
mike
:
(he’s currently sleeping and will answer when he wakes up;)

MUCH LOVE FRIENDS!

~bobbi+mike:!:+:?:

Can you tell how much fun was had by looking at this photo?!:D

Testing the light…

Mikey borrowed one of the groomsmens hats…

MAN OH MANNNNN…. my hair is reddddd!!!!!!

This one makes me laugh.:DI love how Sarah’s looking at me so sweetly while I appear to be blessing Sam.:)

Sam+SarahMay 3, 2010 - 11:39 pm

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UN. Flipping. Believable.

There are so many things to say I don’t even know where to begin… First things first — thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. The whole day was beyond perfect and overwhelming all at once and full of so many little memories that might otherwise have slipped through the cracks but now will live on forever in these photographs. From the mad rush to get my dress on to Taryn’s peptalk w/ the boys to the overly fake getaway (and then a second ride in the car) to the ridiculous time we had on the trolley (speaking of which where in the world did my brother go in that first BP shot??) to the bustle drama and speeches and dances and bouquet toss (are you kidding me? GENIUS). Like I said before – unbelievable. Too many favorites to choose from and can’t wait to see the rest. Love you guys!!

This post makes me happy. You guys are awesome.

CaraMay 3, 2010 - 6:47 pm

Great job! May I ask what lens you used to capture the bridal party shot. I LOVE it!!!!

Allison RussellMay 3, 2010 - 6:28 pm

As the girl in blue in the bouquet photo, I can say that not only is that shot amazing but I’m glad you guys got it, or else all that pain I suffered from the smash would have been totally in vain!

Bobbi + Mike I can’t wait to find my “Sam” and have you as the photogs. People think I’m crazy when I say that I already know who will photograph my wedding and that they’re all the way in Indy (I live in NYC), but the truth of the matter is that they haven’t met you or seen your work and when they do, they’ll know.

I love following all of your work and can’t wait for more amazing shots of amazing people!

Best,
Allison

P.S. And their first song was Tim McGraw “All We Ever Find” Incredible choice!
