Last night, we exceeded our bandwidth.

What is bandwidth? I needed clarifacation so I asked on a wedding photographer message board. Here’s Nate’s explanation. “Bandwidth is how many people are looking at your site and clicking on photos and slideshows. Basically, it measures how much data leaves your server and goes to other peoples computers.”

For those of you who visited the site last night… you already knew that the site was down. I think it happened around 7pm, I’m not 100% sure. I started getting phone calls around that time (thanks Lauren ) to tell me. I get home from a shoot in Bloomington to find that many of my faithful blog readers have emailed me in a panic.. “BOBBI YOUR SITE IS DOWN!!!!” Gosh, I love you guys!

So, I sent in an emergency ticket to my web host and they fixed it immediately! She said that we’re getting 8 times more hits than their average client WOW! (they deal almost exclusively with photographers) We were back up and running by 1am…

Here’s the report as of this morning….

This is just a BIG BIG BIG thanks to all of you guys who keep coming back! DON’T STOP! WE LOVE IT!!!! You guys keep on visiting the site, and I’ll just keep on increasing the bandwidth

I MAY have sent the link to our slideshow to all my female coworkers at about 3 pm your time yesterday… I think they all watched it at least once. Sorry! Ok, not really. That’s a GREAT problem to have.
